Sealed Bids for the building abatement and demolition of 47 ½ Shepard Street, Westfield, MA will be received by the Purchasing Director, Purchasing Department, 59 Court Street, Westfield, MA 01085 until 2:00 p.m. local time on August 12, 2025 at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. Sealed Bids must have outer envelope marked as “47 ½ Shepard Street Building Abatement and Demolition, Bid No. 26-003”

The project includes, but is not limited to, traditional asbestos abatement, concrete building foundation and slab removal, building demolition, basement backfill, loam/seed site restoration and other work, appurtenances, and incidental items as set forth in the contract documents. Bids shall be on a unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form.

Qualifications:

All Bids for this project are subject to the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 149 § 44A(2)(C), c30 39M as amended.

Special Requirements:

Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the Commissioner of Department of Workforce Development under the provision of the Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27D, as amended, apply to this project. It is the responsibility of the Contractor, before Bid opening, to request if necessary, any additional information on Minimum Wage Rates for those trades people who may be employed for the proposed Work under this Contract.
