Abstract
The Delaware Principal Pipeline Project (DPPP) Initiative, led by the Delaware Department of Education (DDOE), focuses on building a sustainable leadership pipeline to strengthen school leadership and improve student outcomes. The initiative prioritizes the development of assistant principals through structured leadership experiences and targeted professional growth, preparing them for future principal roles.
Aligned with the district's equity goals, the DPPP emphasizes leadership diversity and ensures that all students-particularly those from underserved communities, benefit from strong, equity-driven school leadership. The initiative reflects the core components outlined in the Wallace Foundation’s Principal Pipeline framework by promoting clear leader standards, high-quality preparation, selective hiring, and aligned on-the-job support to foster continuous growth for future principals.
The grant application announcement will be made on or before (November 17, 2025). Applications are due by or before 3:00PM on (December 19, 2025). The review team will score each proposal based on the outlined requirements and then Grant Award Notification will be made by or before (December 29, 2025).
