Overview

Summary

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Modesto, County of Stanislaus, State of California (“City”), will receive electronic Bids (each, a “Bid”) from qualified Bidders (each, a “Bidder”) for the furnishing of Davis Sports Field Lamp Replacements equipment, materials, supplies and/or related services (the “Services”) for the City of Modesto, Engineering Services Department, Parks Planning and Development Division.

Background

Davis Community Park serves as a central hub for Modesto’s local leagues, featuring a well-utilized sports complex on its western edge adjacent to Grace M. Davis High School. The facility includes two lighted ball fields—a dedicated softball field and a versatile hardball field often repurposed for soccer during the off-season. While these systems are designed to provide excellent accessibility for evening games and extended practice hours, several lamps and ballasts are currently non-functional. This deficiency threatens the operational status of the fields and creates a potential safety hazard for users. To restore full functionality and maintain this community resource, the City intends to replace the non-operative components and ensure the lighting system meets all safety and performance standards.
