DAS State Printing and Mail Services Disaster Recovery, Disaster Preparedness and Response

The Department of Administrative Services (DAS) Office of Procurement Services, on behalf of the DAS Office of State Printing and Mail Services (the Agency), establishes this Contract for the supplies and services necessary to provide emergency back-up printing and mail services. The Contract fulfills a vital role in the Agency’s Disaster Recovery Plan for the State’s centralized print and mail services. The Contract allows the Agency to continue to serve its customers if a disaster prevents the Agency from providing these services itself. Any disaster will be determined by the Agency and is generally characterized as a serious situation where the Agency is unable to continue production at its own facilities.

The Contract scope is composed of two main service categories, Disaster Preparedness and Disaster Response.

Disaster Preparedness is the testing of various Agency applications to ensure the Contractor has a production environment prepared in the event that the Agency declares a disaster.

Disaster Response is the transfer of print and mail services to the Contractor’s production environment if the Agency has declared a disaster.
