D03-ERI SR 4 Type 6 Curb Installation

Lowest Bidder meeting all spec's will be awared the bid.

Below is a summary of the work and location were project will take place. Type 6 curb is further defined in attachments.
Dispose of existing curb and install 125 ft of new ODOT Curb, Type 6 on the southeast quadrant of Erie SR 4 approach to the bridge over the Norfolk Southern Bellevue Rail Yard (just north of the Huron County line). This is a 4-lane section of SR 4 and the right lane will already be closed with portable barrier. The slope location will have existing guardrail and approximately 4 ft wide asphalt pavement removed already and be rough graded by the geotech crew with a windrow of dirt placed approximately 5 ft behind the proposed curb location. The existing curb will be inside the windrow and need to be removed and disposed of as part of this work. Work will include disposing of the existing curb and fine-grading and placing Type 6 curb to tie into existing curb north and south of the work area. This work is intended to be completed in fall (Sept - Oct) 2026.
