Description of Goods or Services to Be Bid: MTA Construction & Development (MTA C&D) is seeking to engage a Consultant to conduct preliminary research, interviews and analysis to produce a Final Report recommending a model for an intra MTA-agency Communication Based Train Control (“CBTC”) Signals Organization that would include representatives from MTA C&D, New York City Transit (“NYCT”), and MTA-IT, to manage MTA’s transition from the existing fixed-block signaling system on NYCT’s subways to a CBTC-based signaling system. The recommended model shall be based on best practices from peer organizations which have demonstrated success in their CBTC deployments.
