Description: Repair damaged steel bridge beams by heat straightening on Bridge No. 9 and Bridge No.
17 on NC 42 in Randolph County and Bridge No. 11 on SR 1124 in Richmond County.
Subject: Request for Quotation
The North Carolina Department of Transportation is requesting bids for the above-mentioned project located in
Division 8.
Bid Opening Date: Tuesday, September 08, 2026 at 2:00 P.M.
The date of availability for this contract is October 1, 2026.
The completion date for this contract is January 1, 2027.
Sealed bids must be received in the Division 8 Office at 121 DOT Drive, Carthage, NC by 2:00 p.m. on the date
of the bid opening. Bids must be submitted on the official bid form and submitted with the entire proposal. Any bids
received at the Division Office later than 2:00 p.m. on the date of the bid opening will be returned unopened. The
following statement shall be displayed on the front of the bid envelope:

The North Carolina Department of Transportation, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the
Civil Rights of 1964 (78 Stat. 252) and the Regulations of the Department of Transportation (49 C.F.R.,
Part 21), issued pursuant to such act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that the
contract entered into pursuant to this notice will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder without
discrimination on the grounds of sex, race, color, or national origin.
