D.A. Porath Valve Replacement and Emergency Bypass

The project location in the County of Santa Cruz is as follows:

• Lode Street and the D.A. Porath Facility

Work includes permanent and temporary bypass system installation, valve vault construction and installation, forcemain and valve replacements, flow meter installation, related electrical work, associated site improvements, and wet well cleaning and rehabilitation.

Complete the work within 120 working days.

The estimated cost of the project is $2,009,000.

This project was previously put out to bid in March of 2025 and then put on hold. Notable changes from the March 2025 project and this re-release of the 'Project' in September 2025 are:

*The water line conflict is being resolved prior to Project construction; the water line is being relocated under a separate contract

*The PG&E transformer conflict is being resolved prior to Project construction; the transformer is being relocated by PG&E

*Wet well lining and additional valve replacement work in the pump station has been added to the Project

*Project timeline allows for a longer construction period avoiding the Monarch Butterfly Overwintering season
