Request for Proposal: Curriculum Professional Development
Scope of Work
Notice is hereby given that the Weehawken Board of Education is requesting proposals for School District
Professional Services for the following services:
Trainer and coach to assist teachers with differentiating instruction for all students and subgroups.
We are looking for 40 dates from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027.
Program Requirements
The trainer will work with teachers on enhancing curricular offerings, lessons, units, and general instruction.
Staff Requirements
The successful bidder must have experience with differentiating instruction, standards-based curriculum
development and implementation, and training in best instructional practices to maximize student
achievement and learning outcomes.
Proposal Requirements
In addition to addressing the items listed under Program Requirements, Additional Requirements, and
Staff Requirements, the proposal must succinctly address the following:
1. Plan for the delivery of services.
2. Program Budget and Program Fees.
Award of Contract
The procedures developed for awarding the contract constitute a "fair and open" process pursuant to N.J.S.A.
19:44A-20.7. A decision on whether the contract will be awarded and to whom it will be awarded shall be
made within sixty (60) days from the date the proposals are opened. The contract award will not be based on
the lowest bid but will be made based on the best perceived value to the school district, students, and families
using the program.
The evaluation will consider, but not be limited to, the following:
1. Ability to meet the objectives of the district as described above in detail.
2. Quality of Professional Development
3. Cost criteria: Cost to the district
4. Miscellaneous - Other factors, if demonstrated, are in the best interest of the Board
