Curbside Collection, Transportation, Processing, and Disposal of Residential and Municipal Solid Waste and Recyclables

Project Description: The Borough of Gettysburg hereby invites BIDS for the curbside collection, transportation, processing, and disposal of residential and municipal solid waste and recyclables to begin on April 1st, 2026 and extending to March 31st, 2030 – with the option to renew (extend) for one (1) additional year through March 31st, 2031 – at no additional cost.
BIDS will be received on behalf of the Municipality via PennBID’s online BID management platform for municipal solid waste and recyclables contract Friday, February 13th, 2026 at 1:00 PM (EST). All BIDS will be opened at 1:30 PM on February 13th, 2026 and publicly posted on PennBID’s website. All documents and solicitation details are available online at no cost at www.PennBID.net. Registration is required.
The Municipality shall take action on this BID at a special meeting or a regular business meeting1, pursuant to 53 P.S. §68102 and 53 P.S. §46402. As applicable.
The Borough Council reserves the right to reject any or all BIDS and to waive any defects or irregularities in the best interest of the Municipality.
