Curbside Cart Tagging Program
Synopsis:
The Sustainability Department at the City of Saskatoon is seeking a qualified Contractor to supply all labour, materials, equipment, and supervision required to deliver the Curbside Cart Tagging Program for 2026 to 2027.
The scope of work includes the design and implementation of the program, staffing, field operations, data collection, analysis and reporting. The program is intended to gather information on residential waste diversion behaviors and measure contamination rates in curbside recycling and organics carts.
The information collected will support the City in developing targeted education and outreach initiatives to improve the quality of recyclable and organic materials delivered for processing, encourage proper waste diversion practices, and reduce safety risks to waste collection and processing employees caused by improperly sorted materials.
