The culvert at Meadow Creek has failed and is need of replacement. This is in a live stream (meadow creek) and the water is creating a void under the road as it erodes causing the road to settle and create a hazardous situation. The 72” diameter pipe is located on the West Dolores Road (NFSR 535) at milepost 24.72 just past burro bridge. The objective is to replace the pipe with a steel polycoated culvert that will resist rusting from the mineral content in the stream. A bypass road will be constructed to allow continued traffic throughout the duration of the project which is anticipated to last two weeks. Rip-rap will be collected on-site and commercially purchased ¾”-minus road base will be used for surfacing. See attached SOW, Specs, and Drawings for full project Requirements
