Summary Details

Provide an Ecological Wildfire Recovery report that thoroughly assesses the current state of the Nahatlatch Watershed impacted by the 2023 Kookipi Creek Wildfire. The report will address the following: Current state of and impacts to Access Management, Forage and Plant communities, Recreation, Timber, Biodiversity, Hydrology, Resource Features, Visual Quality, Cultural Heritage, Invasive Species, Soils, Water Quality, Fish and Riparian, Terrain stability, and Wildlife; and identify and provide recommendations for resiliency, reclamation, and restoration activities. The recommendations must incorporate local First Nations values and traditional land management practices.
The work will be funded by the BC Wildfire Service “Wildfire Land-Based Recovery” program:
