Crossing Guard Services

Through this Request for Proposals (“RFP”), the City is seeking crossing guard services from qualified vendors. The purpose of the crossing guard program is to provide crossing guard services for children and pedestrians at intersections along Milpitas school routes to enhance public safety. Contractor must comply with all local, state, and federal requirements with respect to minimum wage , as may be updated from time to time

Qualified vendors should have demonstrated expertise in providing these services, preferably to other public entities in California. This RFP, including the Scope of Work and all attachments hereto, provide additional details, requirements, and expectations.

The selected Contractor shall provide crossing guard services at 37 sites within Milpitas for the regular school year beginning around August 1, 2026 and at selected schools for the summer term as determined by the City on an annual basis. Estimated hours required for the full 180-day school year are 26,325 and approximately 800 hours for the 25-day summer term.
