Solicitation Description:

The purpose of this equipment is to condition (Heating and Cooling) the Superintendent, (4) additional offices and (1) conference room. If we cannot supply proper cooling to these spaces, High complaints will start to begin, and possible employees will not be able to work under high temperatures in the summer. Water damage to the building could occur. WMATA HAVC department will install the unit in house with the assistance of WMATA¿s crane services. This is not a re-occurring request. This Condenser Coil, Life expectancy is 15 to 20 yrs. Due to inflation and supply chain issues price is now above our credit card limit. This condenser coil must be supplied by the supplier (Carrier) sole source. Due to the age, and the refrigerant it takes we must get parts from the original supply company. I¿m looking to get funding for the above request to maintain the integrity of the building¿s original design for proper heating and cooling and to maintain proper working conditions.
