Summary Details
VGN Resources Group Inc. (VGN) will be the Program Administrator for projects under the Ministry of Agriculture and Food's (Ministry) extension programming for environment and climate change. This RFP and project is administered by VGN on behalf of the Ministry.
The use and benefits of cover crops are widespread in orchard and vineyard systems; however, there has been increasing interest in diversifying the choices of what to seed in establishing a cover crop. This project aims to develop and easily accessible reference guide for producers that will helps them identify the seedlings of the various cover crop choices as well as how to assess establishment of the cover crop. The guide will be made available for print and for online access and complimentary to the Ministry’s online Cover Cropping Guide for British Columbia.
