The Division of Care and Treatment Services is managing this grant funding opportunity.
SummaryDue to a surplus of unobligated federal Community Mental Health Services Block Grant funding, there is additional funding available through September 30, 2025, for Coordinated Services Teams Initiatives . This funding is for system of care improvements, which may include Children’s System of Care Self-Assessment Tool completion, infrastructure development, and supporting youth with complex behavioral health needs.
The following resources may be helpful during the application process:
Tribal nations and counties with current 2025 Coordinated Services Teams Initiatives contracts that submitted performance reports and final expenditure reports for the 2024 Coordinated Services Teams Initiatives contract year are eligible to apply for this one-time supplemental funding.
Award and contract termsThe total amount of funding available for this program is $600,000.
Individual grant amounts will be determined by the number of applications, available funding, and the information contained in the application. Requests may not exceed $15,000. There is no match requirement for this funding.
The contract period for awarded recipients will be May 1, 2025, through September 30, 2025.
DHS may negotiate the terms of the contract, including the award amount, with applicants prior to entering into a contract.
County agencies will receive a one-time contract that ends September 30, 2025. For Tribal nations, the supplemental funding will be added to the existing state/tribal contract that ends September 30, 2025.
Funding restrictionsThese funds must be used for infrastructure development, services, or supports for youth with complex behavioral health needs. All recipients must follow state allowable costs as well as federal block grant requirements.
