Contract 2025-06 – South Perkasie Covered Bridge: Abutments

• Installation of:

  • New abutments and wingwalls

  • Approach paths

  • Erosion and sedimentation controls

• Location: Lenape Park, Borough of Perkasie

• Work must consider and comply with:

  • Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties

  • Relevant FHWA, AASHTO, and PennDOT standards when feasible

• Platform: PennBid™

• Access: Documents available at no cost

• Award Fee: 0.33% of bid amount (max $6,000) charged only to awarded contractor

• Bid Security: Bid Bond or Certified Check for 5% of bid amount, payable to the Borough of Perkasie

• Required upon Award:

  • Performance Bond: 100% of contract value

  • Payment Bond: 100% of contract value

  • Maintenance Bond (format and surety subject to Borough approval)

  • Proof of Insurance

• Funding Sources:

  • PEMA/FEMA

  • Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission

• Davis-Bacon Act applies: Federal prevailing wage rates must be paid as specified

• EEO Compliance: Contractors must ensure no discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin

• Before Deadline: Bids may be modified or withdrawn with a properly executed document

• After Opening:

  • Withdrawal allowed within 2 business days if done in strict accordance with 73 P.S. §1602

• Binding Period: Bids may not be withdrawn for 60 days after opening (or longer if agreed in writing)

• Date: July 9, 2025

• Time: 10:00 AM

• Attendance:Mandatory for the initial portion of the meeting

The Borough of Perkasie reserves the right to:

• Reject any or all bids

• Eliminate any portion of the contract

• Waive informalities in submitted bids
