Contract 25-1 LV Switchgear Rehab and MCC Replacements

Project Description: The Borough of Conshohocken Authority (Authority) is soliciting sealed bids online via the PennBid program for Contract 25-1, “Borough of Conshohocken Authority Wastewater Treatment Plant LV Switchgear Rehab and MCC Replacements,” for the Borough of Conshohocken Authority Wastewater Treatment Plant. The work at the Borough of Conshohocken Authority Wastewater Treatment Plant generally includes the supply and installation of new MCCs throughout the plant, as identified in the Contract Documents, the supply and installation of the Administration Building Automatic Transfer Switch, the supply and installation of associated conductors and raceways, Coordination and Arc Flash Hazard Study and labeling, the provision of temporary power equipment and materials to maintain plant operations throughout construction, demolition of existing MCCs and power feeders to each MCC, and Other Work indicated in the Contract Documents. All work is in the Borough of Conshohocken, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, as provided for in the bid documents.
Sealed bids shall be submitted and updated online via the PennBid Program until 2:00 PM on September 17, 2025.
The Wastewater Treatment Plant at 601 East Elm Street, Conshohocken, PA 19428, will be accessible for Bidders on the following dates: Monday September 8, 2025, Tuesday September 9, 2025 and Wednesday September 10, 2025 between the hours of 7:00 AM and 2:00 PM (local time) on all days. Requirements for a 10% Bid Bond, 100% Performance Bond, 100% Payment Bond, 10% Maintenance Bond and Contractor's Insurance are included in the Contract Documents.
Each Bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount and form subject to the conditions provided in the Instruction to Bidders. The Borough of Conshohocken Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or to make award to such bidder who, in the judgment of the Borough of Conshohocken Authority makes the most advantageous bid. Bids are invited from qualified bidders. This project is subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, 43 P.S. §§ 165-1 et seq and the requirements of the COVID-19 ARPA H2O PA grant contract contained in the bid documents.
All bidders are required to comply with the Borough of Conshohocken Authority’s Responsible Contractor Resolution (“R.C.R.”) where the value of awarded work exceeds $50,000. All Bidders shall participate in a “Class A” Apprenticeship Program - as required by the R.C.R. Each bid shall include a completed Contractor Responsibility Certification Form. All Bidders must comply with the Non-discrimination / sexual harassment provisions of the contract and name the Commonwealth Financing Authority as additionally insured.
