Continuous Recruitment

The New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision (NYS DOCCS) Office of Nutritional Services is seeking continuous recruitment of responsive, responsible suppliers for any fruit or vegetable derivative, any grains, starches, nuts and their products, processed finfish/shellfish products, sweeteners, herbs, spices, seasonings, condiments, fats, oils (i.e., any margarine, butter, mayonnaise or dressings), food enhancers, any legume products, emulsifiers, colorings, flavorings, preservatives, any cheese/yogurt/milk products and/or derivative that are required on a regular basis. Vendors will be evaluated and pre-qualified by DOCCS. Upon final approval by the Office of the State Comptroller (OSC) and Office of General Services (OGS), mini-bids to solicit pricing from approved vendors will be conducted on a frequent basis, and awards will be made using the spot-buying process. Vendors do not need to submit short-term pricing as part of the pre-qualification process. Only AFTER final OSC & OGS approval will vendors be asked to submit short-term pricing for items actually required during this multiple-year contract. PLEASE NOTE THAT VENDORS DO NOT NEED TO SUBMIT FIXED PRICING TO BE HELD THROUGHT THE END OF THE MULTIPLE-YEAR CONTRACT TERM..
