Construction of the Watts Empowerment Center Studio

The Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (“HACLA”) invites contractors to submit sealed bids for expansion of the Watts Empowerment Center at HACLA’s Imperial Courts Public Housing Development at 2250 E. 114th Street, Los Angeles, California 90059, which creates an approximate 2,000 square foot new structure adjacent to the existing recreation center that will be used for creating music and visual content. This project was originally solicited under IFB HA-2025-79-MX, which was subsequently cancelled. The primary change to this reissued IFB is to the project’s experience requirements, which now require that bidders demonstrate (i) at least five years’ experience constructing buildings similar to the subject building and (ii) experience acting as the Prime Contractor on projects that include multiple stakeholders(i.e. architects, engineers, and local authorities).
