FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO

WESTFIELD-BARNES REGIONAL AIRPORT (BAF)

The City of Westfield on behalf of the Westfield-Barnes Regional Airport, Massachusetts invites sealed bids for furnishing all labor and materials and performing all work in connection with a construction contract at the Westfield-Barnes Regional Airport, Westfield, Massachusetts as follows:

CONSTRUCT TW B MITIGATION AREA (APPROX. 11 ACRES)

AIP Project No. 3-25-0052-XXX-2025

The work includes, but is not limited to: the construction of a mitigation area resulting from the impacts to a rare bird species from the Taxiway B South project. The project consists of clearing and grubbing of approximately 11 acres of trees and converting the cleared area into a rare species habitat.

Procedures regarding bids and the selection of contractors shall be in conformity with the Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 30, Section 39M, as amended to date.  Sealed Bids for the General Contract must be delivered to the City of Westfield Purchasing Department, 59 Court Street, Room 101, Westfield, MA 01085 prior to 2:00 PM  Eastern Daylight Savings Time, on Tuesday, April 16, 2025 at which time and place the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.  Bids received after the above time and date will be returned unopened.

The General Bids shall be filed with the Owner at the location designated above, accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of a bid bond or a certified check, in the amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid price for the Contract work.  The bid security shall be made payable to the Westfield Airport Commission.
