The project consists of the construction of a new solid waste collection facility with associated grading, paving, concrete pads, and electrical connections. Compactor equipment and attendantâs building will be provided by the Owner.Copies of the contract documents may be examined by appointment only at the office of Engineering Concepts, Inc., 94 Greenfield Street, Daleville, Virginia 24083 during normal business hours.Hard copies of the documents may be purchased for $75.00 from Engineering Concepts, Inc., 94 Greenfield Street, Daleville, Virginia 24083. The payment is nonrefundable.The payment shall be in the form of a check or money order with the name of the project written on the payment.A digital copy of the documents may be obtained by emailing twampler@engineeringconcepts.com at no charge.A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held for the project on Tuesday, November 11th at 1:00 PM at the project site off Snow Creek Road.Sealed bids for the Snow Creek Collection Facility will be received by Franklin County, Attn: Corey White, 1255 Franklin Street, Suite 111, Rocky Mount, VA 24151 until 2:00 PM local time on Friday, November 14th, at which time bids will be opened and readaloud.Should the apparent low Bid exceed available funds, the Owner reserves the right to negotiate with the apparent low bidder to obtain a contract price within available funds.Bidders shall comply with Virginia Code Section 54.1-1112 regarding information required with Bid. Envelopes containing Bids shall be clearly marked with the Bidderâs contractor license number.Respondents are solely responsible for ensuring they have the complete version of bid documents, including any addenda, before submitting a bid.
