The Town of West Bridgewater shall receive General Bids at the West Bridgewater Water Department, 29 Cyr Street, West Bridgewater, Massachusetts for the Construction of the Manley Street PFAS Water Treatment Plant, Contract No. 2023-01, DWSRF-12432, until 2:00 PM prevailing time, Wednesday May 1, 2024, at which time bids will be opened and publicly read aloud. Bids submitted after this time will not be accepted.
The Town of West Bridgewater shall receive filed sub-bids at the West Bridgewater Water Department, 29 Cyr Street, West Bridgewater, Massachusetts for the Construction of the Manley Street PFAS Water Treatment Plant, Contract No. 2023-01, DWSRF-12432, until 2:00 PM prevailing time, Wednesday April 17, 2024, at which time sub-bids will be opened and publicly read aloud. Bids submitted after this time will not be accepted.
Sub-bids will be required on the work described in the following disciplines of work: Painting, Plumbing, and Electrical.
A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at the Manley Street Water Treatment Plant, 8 Manley Street, West Bridgewater, Massachusetts, on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at 9:00 AM prevailing time.
The Work of this Contract generally consists of the construction of a new building to house a pair of Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) filter vessels adjacent to the existing Manley Street Water treatment plant. The work included but is not limited to new above and below ground pipe and fittings, chemical feed systems and pumps, replacement of two submersible wells pumps at the Manley Wells, iron and manganese filter media replacement and piping within the existing vessels, vessel disinfection and modifications, as well as associated electrical, instrumentation, and SCADA upgrades. All work shall be completed within 450 consecutive calendar days of the date fixed in the Notice to Proceed.
