RENOVATIONS
PROPOSAL DUE DATE: 3:00 p.m. (EST), JUNE 26, 2026
Firms are hereby notified that this addendum shall be made part of the above-named proposal and contract
documents. The following are issued to revise/clarify the proposal and contract documents, and these items shall
have the same force and effect as the original proposal and contract documents. Proposals to be submitted on the
above-specified date at Purchasing shall conform to the revisions and clarifications as listed herein.
ITEM #1 QUESTIONS/ANSWERS
Q1: We are interested in scheduling a site visit for this project. Would that be possible / acceptable if we coordinate
through you?
A1: Due to the security requirements and operational nature of the jail facility, site visits will not be permitted prior
to contract award.
Q2: Is there a floor plan / layout / design of the proposed construction area that we could receive to best understand
the building's structural arrangement for proper site planning?
A2: Detailed floor plans and facility layouts will not be distributed as part of the solicitation due to jail security
concerns. Information provided within the RFP should be utilized for proposal development.
Q3: While work is performed in the kitchen/laundry room areas, will the jail be using a 3rd party to provide in-house
meals or will the kitchen area be temporarily relocated for the duration of this project?
A3: The County expects the Construction Manager at Risk (CM@R) to evaluate available options and take the
lead in developing the most practical and cost-effective approach for maintaining food service and laundry
operations during construction. Proposers should include their preliminary approach and recommendations as
part of their proposal. The selected CM@R will work collaboratively with the County and jail staff during the
preconstruction phase to finalize the temporary operations plan.
This addendum is binding and is to be considered as if contained within the original proposal documents of RFP
No. 20260466. Firms are required to acknowledge receipt of this addendum on their proposal forms.
