Summary

CEI services are required for the Pine Ridge Road Corridor Improvements Project. The project includes road and intersection improvements along Pine Ridge Road, approximately 1 mile in length, from west of the intersection of Pine Ridge Road and Livingston Road to east of Whippoorwill Lane. It also includes improvements extending approximately ¾ of a mile in length along Livingston Road north and south of the Pine Ridge/Livingston Road intersection. The project will consist of new “Jug-Handle” intersection design at the Pine Ridge Road/Livingston Road intersection that will direct southbound motorists wishing to turn left (east) through the main intersection and enter a loop ramp back to Pine Ridge Road where they will head east through the main intersection. The project will include a conventional intersection at the Pine Ridge Road/Whippoorwill Lane intersection, along with drainage improvements, sidewalk, and traffic signals.



Background

The CEI services include, but are not limited to, project administration and record keeping, providing construction inspections, monitoring, and material acceptance testing and verification. In addition, the services shall include monitoring off-site activities for asphalt paving and miscellaneous structures. Monitoring and inspecting the Contractor’s Work Zone Traffic Plan and reviewing modifications to the Work Zone Traffic Control Plan in accordance with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) procedures. A firm, or its affiliate, that is the Engineer of Record (EOR) on any of the projects listed herein shall not be considered eligible to compete as a consultant.
