Description: The State University Construction Fund (SUCF) is seeking Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from consultants to provide design and construction administration services for the Construct New Electrical Substation – Community General Hospital project at the State University of New York Health Science Center at Syracuse. The Project will construct a new, approximately 8,000 GSF, one-story electrical service building. This facility will house the medium voltage (MV) electrical distribution equipment, emergency generators, and associated emergency distribution systems. Offices, restrooms, and other essential support areas may be included. In addition, the project will replace the two main feeders from Anderson Hill Road at the National Grid connection point through mechanical services and out to each distribution transformer. New feeders may need to be provided by National Grid. Communication with National Grid will be required. Modifications to electrical rooms and equipment in the hospital are required. The following investigations will be required by not limited to: Existing conditions analysis, topographic survey for site selection of the new building, geotechnical survey, subsurface utility location, hazardous materials survey, electrical system survey/analysis, power systems study, testing during construction, and special inspections. Phasing will be required during construction as work will occur in the existing electrical rooms of the hospital. All the buildings on the Community General Hospital Campus will be affected. This is a working hospital. The construction value is estimated to be approximately $34,319,000. Once your registration is submitted, you will receive a confirmation number and the RFQ via email. Required electronic copies of Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) must be received by the due date and time specified in the RFQ. Paper or emailed copies of SOQs will not be accepted.
