Overview

Summary

The project includes mobilization and demobilization; grubbing and clearing; cutting, filling, and grading; installation of a 6" aggregate base course; and installation of a 3" hot mix asphalt surface for the proposed runway facility. The scope of work is broken up into a base scope (runway only) and two award options - Bid Alternate No. 1 (adds a paved pilot area) and Bid Alternate No. 2 (adds a paved pit area).

Background

The City of Pueblo seeks to construct a new asphalt runway facility for scale model aircraft at the Honor Farm site. The project will relocate the existing Sky Corral model aircraft runway to accommodate the new Medal of Honor Boulevard, while ensuring the continued safe and functional operation of the facility.
