Construct Cell 3 Gas Collection and Control System Expansion

Project Description: The Matanuska‑Susitna Borough is soliciting bids from qualified contractors for construction of the Cell 3 Landfill Gas Collection and Control System (GCCS) Expansion at the Central Landfill in Palmer, Alaska. The project includes mobilization; utility locating and surveying; drilling and installation of new landfill gas recovery wells; installation of gas collection headers, laterals, wellheads, isolation valves, and road crossings; removal and salvage of existing gas collection piping; connection of existing temporary horizontal gas collection systems; and final site restoration and erosion control. The work also includes multiple additive alternate bid items for additional gas recovery wells, laterals, wellheads, header improvements, and system maintenance and investigation. Construction will occur within an active landfill environment and requires coordination with existing landfill gas infrastructure. All work shall be performed in accordance with the Contract Documents.

Questions or requests for clarification directed to any other member of the Borough staff, or consultants may be grounds for rejection of proposal as being irregular.
