Comprehensive Plan RFP

The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to receive competitive proposals from qualified consultants who are interested in completing a new Comprehensive Plan for the Village of Waunakee.

The current Comprehensive Plan was a joint effort between the Village of Waunakee and the Town of Westport in 2017. Since then, Waunakee's population has grown more than 20%, and has run out of infill space. The Village is receiving development requests for areas outside the municipal boundary in areas that would require amendments to the Future Land Use Map and negotiations with neighboring towns. Waunakee has quite simply "outgrown" its current Comprehensive Plan, and is looking to develop one focused on the Village, its future, and its priorities, while still considering the delicate balance of being surrounded by 4 towns (Vienna, Dane, Springfield, and Westport).
