Applications for the Community Resilience Fund have reopened for one week. We have expanded eligibility for this grant and now invite nonprofit organizations that have been operating in Charlotte for two to four years specifically to apply. New applications will not be accepted for organizations who met the original eligibility criteria of 4+ years.

As a reminder, these grants are open to nonprofits that serve communities that have been financially and/or disparately impacted by COVID-19. The Community Resilience Fund prioritizes work that fosters racial equity and economic mobility in marginalized communities.

Nonprofits applying for these grants must work within the following areas of community resilience:

  1. Fostering connections between neighbors
  2. Workforce development
  3. Supporting social safety networks
  4. Community education
  5. Risk reduction
  6. Housing stability for vulnerable residents
  7. Increased opportunities for youth and seniors
  8. Strengthening families

Equity and inclusion, such as:

  1. Breaking down barriers to inclusion in civic life

  5. Accessibility
  6. Addressing system exclusion

Sustainability and environment, such as:

  1. Green initiatives

So why don't we go ahead and get started

we've got a pretty big group tonight thanks again

0:00:09.600,0:00:17.580

for for joining us for our community resilience

fund Grant Workshop um I am Jackie Claire I'm the

0:00:17.580,0:00:23.280

community grants program manager um I just want to

let you know if you hadn't noticed the meeting is

0:00:23.280,0:00:30.120

being recorded this evening and we'll have that

online in a couple of days for uh for review

0:00:31.380,0:00:38.520

um and so tonight I have a couple of colleagues

joining me um Patricia Mason is the risk and

0:00:38.520,0:00:46.080

compliance manager with housing and Neighborhood

Services and Nicole's story is the community

0:00:46.080,0:00:52.800

engagement division manager and I am going

to turn it over to Nicole to start us off

0:00:53.700,0:01:00.540

fantastic thank you Jackie and welcome to everyone

who are here I see a number of current partners

0:01:00.540,0:01:05.520

and the rest of you I assume are future Partners

so I cannot wait to make your acquaintance and to

0:01:05.520,0:01:11.340

learn about the great work that you do as Jackie

mentioned my name is Nicole story and I have the

0:01:11.340,0:01:16.680

pleasure of serving as the division manager for

the city of Charlotte's Community engagement

0:01:16.680,0:01:22.200

Division and on behalf of the city of Charlotte I

want to thank you for your continued contributions

0:01:22.200,0:01:26.880

to the city of Charlotte for the work that I know

that you do late at night and early in the morning

0:01:26.880,0:01:32.580

and all of the other hours to serve the people

that are so important to all of us and for being

0:01:32.580,0:01:39.480

here tonight to learn about this grant opportunity

our city council in Charlotte are committed to

0:01:39.480,0:01:44.820

supporting our community in all that they do and

particularly with these funds that we've been

0:01:44.820,0:01:50.040

fortunate to receive through the American Rescue

plan act over arpa as many of you have probably

0:01:50.040,0:01:56.880

heard of those dollars this grant is part of that

60 million dollar arpa investment in the city of

0:01:56.880,0:02:02.700

Charlotte that is going toward housing Workforce

Development employment and Community vitality

0:02:03.780,0:02:09.180

and this is a partner effort um through a partner

effort that you'll hear from in the coming months

0:02:09.180,0:02:16.260

with Hispanic Federation this will represent a

2.75 million dollar award to local nonprofits

0:02:16.260,0:02:22.440

with 1 million of that particularly earmarked

for small nonprofits and we think city council

0:02:22.440,0:02:27.180

for ensuring that that wish was clear and

that we could share that information with you

0:02:27.780,0:02:33.420

this grant is intended to support non-profits

that were impacted by or serve populations

0:02:33.420,0:02:39.000

that have been impacted by covid as so many of

us have and I just want to finish my remarks

0:02:39.000,0:02:45.180

by thanking staff Jackie mentioned Pat Mason

Jackie Claire and Lacey Williams have really

0:02:45.180,0:02:50.040

put an extraordinary effort behind this grant

which is new to us and is reinvesting some

0:02:50.040,0:02:54.900

funds that just came back our way and so I

want to thank them for their extraordinary

0:02:54.900,0:03:00.000

effort and I also want to ask your grace as we

learn this grant together because it is brand

0:03:00.000,0:03:05.280

new and there may be some questions tonight that

we need some time to research we will absolutely

0:03:05.280,0:03:11.220

get back to you with answers to those questions

but without further Ado I turn it back to Jackie

0:03:12.240,0:03:17.460

all right thanks Nicole all right so I'm going

to go ahead and share my screen with you all

0:03:22.020,0:03:22.800

foreign

0:03:29.460,0:03:30.420

all right

0:03:33.000,0:03:37.680

so Nicole has already kicked us

off and shared some of the the

0:03:37.680,0:03:41.400

basic information with you

about the about the program

0:03:42.540,0:03:51.240

um so I will not repeat um what she just said

so we'll move on to um the next slide which

0:03:51.840,0:04:00.120

um I want to share there are grants up to 250

000 available for your non-profit organizations

0:04:00.120,0:04:07.980

within three areas of community resilience and

those three areas are housing and neighborhoods

0:04:07.980,0:04:16.140

equity and inclusion and sustainability and the

environment and these bullet points are examples

0:04:16.140,0:04:23.340

of work within the area of community resilience

however your organization might be doing other

0:04:23.340,0:04:29.640

work that meets those criteria so this is not

meant to be an exclusive list it's simply to

0:04:29.640,0:04:36.300

give you some ideas of what type of things

qualify under these three broad categories

0:04:38.760,0:04:46.260

so there are two tiers of funding available and

small non-profits with operating budgets of up to

0:04:46.260,0:04:53.640

two hundred and fifty thousand dollars May request

up to seventy five thousand dollars in funding and

0:04:53.640,0:05:00.120

medium to large non-profits with operating budgets

over two hundred and fifty thousand dollars May

0:05:00.120,0:05:06.360

request up to two hundred and fifty thousand

dollars um one note that I want to make here

0:05:06.360,0:05:13.140

is that your funding request should not exceed

thirty percent of your total operating budget

0:05:15.120,0:05:21.540

and there are two pools um of funding so

small nonprofits the total award pool is

0:05:21.540,0:05:28.500

one million dollars and for the medium to large

nonprofits the award pool is 1.5 million dollars

0:05:32.340,0:05:39.480

so like all Grant programs there are eligibility

requirements that all organizations must meet

0:05:40.500,0:05:46.680

um so your organization needs to serve a public

good and you must have been operating in the

0:05:46.680,0:05:53.160

city of Charlotte for four consecutive years and

your work must align with one of those areas of

0:05:53.160,0:05:59.400

community resilience so as a reminder that was

housing in neighborhoods equity and inclusion

0:05:59.400,0:06:06.480

or sustainability and the environment

your organization needs to be a 501c3

0:06:06.480,0:06:15.180

or under the fiscal sponsorship of a 501c3

tax exempt organization and if you are using

0:06:15.180,0:06:22.020

a fiscal sponsor your sponsor's mission must

relate to yours to your organization's mission

0:06:22.800,0:06:30.360

you will need to have filed a current form

990 and for small organizations whose gross

0:06:30.360,0:06:36.300

receipts are up to fifty thousand dollars

um you are not required to file a 990 but

0:06:36.300,0:06:45.780

you do need to submit a 990 n we will accept

a 990 n or a 990 as the required documentation

0:06:47.040,0:06:52.020

your organization should have an operating

budget of at least twenty thousand dollars

0:06:52.020,0:06:58.440

and you'll need to be able to demonstrate that

your organization works with individuals or

0:06:58.440,0:07:06.840

communities that have been impacted by covid-19

or provide proof of operation within eligible

0:07:06.840,0:07:13.800

census tracts and those are shown in Blue

on the map to the right side of your screen

0:07:17.760,0:07:26.700

some additional considerations because these

grants are federal funds all organizations

0:07:26.700,0:07:35.760

must register with sam.gov and provide a unique

entity ID and expiration date in the application

0:07:37.080,0:07:44.460

um the third bullet point here only

applies to organizations that expand 750

0:07:44.460,0:07:54.780

000 or more in federal funds in one year from

all sources including the CRF if awarded so if

0:07:54.780,0:07:59.940

that applies to your organization you

are required to obtain a single audit

0:08:00.480,0:08:08.820

and then lastly funds cannot be passed through to

another organization unless using a formal fiscal

0:08:08.820,0:08:16.440

sponsor so they can't be used for membership fees

or sub-granting and again These funds are for

0:08:16.440,0:08:23.340

General operating support and program expenses

and so they may not be used for Capital costs

0:08:27.360,0:08:34.980

so this is the list of required documents that

you will upload in the application so you'll

0:08:34.980,0:08:42.780

need to pull together your operating budgets

from 2021 22 and 23. your current board of

0:08:42.780,0:08:52.320

directors roster your IRS determination letter um

or if you're using a fiscal sponsor your fiscal

0:08:52.320,0:08:58.620

sponsor award letter and the spot or not a

board letter but agreement letter and your

0:08:58.620,0:09:10.140

sponsors IRS determination letter again your

990 or your 990 and and the unique Sam unique

0:09:10.140,0:09:16.440

identity ID number and the expiration date

that Sam ID number is a tongue twister sorry

0:09:19.260,0:09:26.580

so the Sam registration is online

at sam.gov and this is a two-step

0:09:26.580,0:09:34.620

process so if you haven't done this before the

first step is to sign up online and signing up

0:09:34.620,0:09:42.900

means getting an account and setting up

a profile on sam.gov also from this page

0:09:42.900,0:09:48.660

you may also renew registrations

if you already have an ID number

0:09:51.360,0:09:59.580

so once you've signed up the second step is

to register to become certified to receive

0:09:59.580,0:10:05.580

grants from the federal government and this

page might be too tiny to see but there are

0:10:05.580,0:10:10.680

several questions that you'll be required

to answer and they're mostly related to

0:10:10.680,0:10:18.660

your organization's financial information your

tax ID number and details and excuse me your

0:10:18.660,0:10:23.820

business contact information and contact

information for your executive director

0:10:24.720,0:10:32.700

it's really important to register early according

to the Sam website it takes 10 to 15 business days

0:10:32.700,0:10:39.120

to get your full registration processed and

it may take longer if they have any questions

0:10:39.120,0:10:46.920

or there are any problems or issues with your

registration so do that is as early as you can

0:10:49.800,0:10:58.500

so once you've determined your eligibility and

you have your Sam ID number in process you will

0:10:58.500,0:11:05.400

be ready to apply and so the application

process is sort of a multi-step process

0:11:06.360,0:11:13.980

um so the first thing that you're going to do

is navigate to the online application and I'm

0:11:13.980,0:11:19.500

going to show you that in a moment and you

will either register as a new organization

0:11:19.500,0:11:27.060

or if you already have an account with us you'll

use your login credentials to log into the portal

0:11:28.500,0:11:36.720

um if you do have a previous record you'll

want to make sure that as the applicant you

0:11:36.720,0:11:44.340

as the individual you want to make sure that your

profile information is current and up to date and

0:11:44.340,0:11:49.920

you're also going to want to make sure that

your organization info is up to date as well

0:11:50.820,0:11:59.040

the grant is or Grant application is currently

open and it will be open until 5 PM on June 30th

0:11:59.040,0:12:06.660

so you've got most of the month throughout the

rest of the month to get your application in

0:12:07.980,0:12:14.940

um the applications will be reviewed by a

committee made up of City staff and community

0:12:14.940,0:12:25.080

members you'll be notified of your award status in

August and you will also be if you are awarded a

0:12:25.080,0:12:33.180

grant you will be invited to attend an orientation

session and you will also sign a contract with

0:12:33.180,0:12:39.780

the city of Charlotte once your contract is

signed the first grant installment will be

0:12:39.780,0:12:48.000

paid in approximately 45 days once a contract is

executed and we've received your submitted invoice

0:12:50.760,0:12:55.860

so as I mentioned the applications

must be submitted on the grants portal

0:12:56.460,0:13:02.880

um here are some screenshots of what that

looks like and the easiest way to find the

0:13:02.880,0:13:13.800

Portal is to navigate to Charlotte nc.gov and

search for CRF in the search bar on the website

0:13:14.640,0:13:21.420

and that's where most of you found the link to

register tonight so on that main page for the

0:13:21.420,0:13:29.040

community resilience fund Grant at the

bottom of that page is a link that says

0:13:29.580,0:13:35.700

um Grant portal so you're going to click

on that link and that will bring you to

0:13:35.700,0:13:41.040

the portal and once you're there you'll

either click on the link to create a new

0:13:41.040,0:13:47.640

account or to log in if your organization

already does have have an account with us

0:13:50.700,0:13:56.700

so as I mentioned you want to make sure that your

applicant details are complete and accurate on

0:13:56.700,0:14:01.860

the dashboard if you need to make any changes

you're going to click on those pencil icons

0:14:02.760,0:14:09.240

um to write of applicant or to the right of the

organization name and then when you're ready

0:14:09.240,0:14:15.900

to apply um you want to navigate to the apply

button at the top of the page on that green menu

0:14:17.520,0:14:25.980

um the one thing that I want to point out on

the application page there are multiple grant

0:14:25.980,0:14:32.280

opportunities um that you can see and apply

to the ones that are open you want to make

0:14:32.280,0:14:38.700

sure that you click on the apply button for the

community resilience fund um because the grant

0:14:38.700,0:14:43.920

applications are different so if you click on

the neighborhood matching grants or on any of

0:14:43.920,0:14:50.040

those other applications that you see you'll get

a different set of questions and it won't make

0:14:50.040,0:14:56.400

sense so just be careful to click on the apply

button for the community resilience fund Grant

0:15:00.000,0:15:05.340

so um on the next slide these are these

0:15:05.340,0:15:12.000

um the scoring criteria and so we just want you to

keep these in mind when writing your application

0:15:13.200,0:15:21.840

um so the questions that you'll be asked to fill

out will help the Review Committee determine um

0:15:21.840,0:15:29.760

the vulnerable vulnerability and need both of your

organization and of the communities that you serve

0:15:29.760,0:15:37.620

they'll tell us to what extent your organization

is serving a person's disproportionately affected

0:15:37.620,0:15:45.420

by the pandemic how many people your organization

is serving and How Deeply those people are being

0:15:45.420,0:15:53.580

served um they're also looking at the strength

the category strength um so to what extent is

0:15:53.580,0:16:01.560

the organization's Mission and programming tied to

those fundable um CRF categories that we discussed

0:16:03.000,0:16:08.940

um the impact of covid so to what extent

has your organization been affected by covid

0:16:09.780,0:16:16.920

um the ask slash burden proportionality is

the amount requested proportional to the

0:16:16.920,0:16:24.540

impact of covid-19 on the population that you

serve and then they'll also be reviewing all

0:16:24.540,0:16:30.720

of the eligibility criteria to make sure

that all of those criteria are being met

0:16:34.200,0:16:42.960

so after your application has been

approved if if you are granted an award

0:16:43.920,0:16:48.780

um we want to talk to a little bit

about the next steps involved so if

0:16:48.780,0:16:56.220

you're awarded a grant you will complete vendor

registration in the city's registration system

0:16:57.600,0:17:01.560

um you'll also need to submit a

current Certificate of Insurance

0:17:02.400,0:17:10.620

and you'll attend contract signing and Grant

orientation the date for this is still to be

0:17:10.620,0:17:18.360

determined um we will let you know when that

is as soon as we as soon as we can it's largely

0:17:18.360,0:17:25.860

related to the number of applications that the

Review Committee will need to to review so we'll

0:17:25.860,0:17:32.040

try to get back to you as soon as possible

and let you know um if your Grant has your

0:17:32.040,0:17:37.380

Grant application has been approved and when the

contract signing and orientation will be held

0:17:40.380,0:17:48.900

you'll also once you've been approved you'll also

submit your first invoice and documentation to the

0:17:48.900,0:17:57.060

city to request payment so documentation that

you'll include with your invoice might include

0:17:57.060,0:18:05.760

copies of receipts canceled checks a payroll

report um for your first payment you'll receive

0:18:06.480,0:18:13.920

um 30 percent of your Grant award unless

your Grant award was ten thousand dollars

0:18:13.920,0:18:20.220

or less in that case you'll receive a hundred

percent of your award in that first payment

0:18:21.480,0:18:28.380

um when you submit your subsequent um

reports that's when you'll also submit

0:18:28.380,0:18:35.460

your next invoices so those will be due

quarterly so 30 each time until the final

0:18:35.460,0:18:42.060

report and then you'll receive the final 10

that will be remaining in your Grant award

0:18:43.320,0:18:50.700

um you'll be required to complete quarterly

reports and schedule check-in meetings with

0:18:50.700,0:18:56.760

a member of our community engagement team and

so in those meetings you'll discuss with your

0:18:57.360,0:19:02.700

um with your liaison um any challenges

you're having with your project you'll

0:19:02.700,0:19:08.700

share your successes and opportunities and

also share any upcoming events and whatever

0:19:08.700,0:19:16.380

support that you may need so our team is here to

help you along the way if you have any questions

0:19:17.820,0:19:23.220

um you know just feel free to reach

out to us at any time so that we can

0:19:23.220,0:19:27.540

help you be successful with your

with your Grant implementation

0:19:30.180,0:19:40.860

once your Grant is complete in about a year you

will submit a final report and in the final report

0:19:42.060,0:19:47.760

um you'll report on your um the number of

community members served and really show what

0:19:47.760,0:19:55.080

the community impact was by having the grant um

how did the grant dollars help your organization

0:19:55.080,0:20:03.600

stabilize Revenue over the last year and then we'd

like to see a narrative of two success stories

0:20:03.600,0:20:11.880

that you can either fully or partially attribute

to the city of Charlotte's organization support

0:20:13.080,0:20:16.800

um and then our staff may follow

up with you for further details

0:20:17.820,0:20:26.400

um once we receive that final report um so

hopefully this isn't too too daunting I know

0:20:27.180,0:20:30.960

um federal grants have do have

a lot of requirements and it may

0:20:31.860,0:20:41.520

um sound um scary and daunting but hopefully um

we've you know shared that it's um not too much

0:20:41.520,0:20:49.020

information to compile and we are here to uh

to help you again every every step of the way

0:20:50.160,0:20:56.640

um so I know that there are lots of questions

um so we will open it up now to questions

0:20:59.160,0:21:05.460

and so I'm gonna stop sharing my screen so

I can see I did see a few things in chat

0:21:06.840,0:21:10.080

um so let's see where's the stop sharing button

0:21:12.540,0:21:13.140

there we go

0:21:15.360,0:21:23.880

all right so if you have questions just go ahead

and use the um and raise feature and I will

0:21:24.420,0:21:34.200

um crawl on you as as I see you so um Matt

Olin go ahead thank you Jackie appreciate it

0:21:34.200,0:21:39.360

I have two questions um one is probably one

that's on most people's minds which is that

0:21:39.360,0:21:44.100

if if a non-profit makes a request that

is more than what is available in in the

0:21:44.100,0:21:51.120

pool can the city choose to award you know the

non-profit less than they requested or do you

0:21:51.120,0:21:56.220

know what I'm saying or or do you get eliminated

if you've asked for more than uh is is available

0:21:58.380,0:22:04.020

um Nicole I would say that partial funding

could be available would you agree with

0:22:04.560,0:22:10.080

with that assessment uh let me make sure that

I understand the question Matt are you asking

0:22:10.080,0:22:15.780

if a non-profit can ask for an overall award

more than what stated in the program guidelines

0:22:15.780,0:22:21.240

or are you asking if we run out of money and

there's partial funds left if we will give a

0:22:21.240,0:22:25.860

second round yeah depending on what the total

sum of the asks are from all the non-profits

0:22:25.860,0:22:30.600

can the city choose to offer smaller Awards

than what the nonprofits actually asked for

0:22:32.100,0:22:39.660

it is generally not our practice to reduce the

amounts requested because often it changes the

0:22:39.660,0:22:45.480

nonprofit's ability to deliver the the service or

um the service that they provided the being that

0:22:45.480,0:22:51.060

these are operating grants I think there's

opportunity to consider that um let us do a

0:22:51.060,0:22:56.400

little bit of thinking on that and and some of our

response might be depending on how much interest

0:22:56.400,0:23:01.380

we get in this grant we have 100 participants

in this webinar so we're really expecting and

0:23:01.380,0:23:07.980

hopeful for a lot of interest but let us work on

that and do not let the answer to that question

0:23:07.980,0:23:12.360

dissuade you from applying if you are interested

we're going to do all that we can to support

0:23:12.360,0:23:18.720

to support as many entities as we can thank you

Nicole and it was indeed it's the fact that these

0:23:18.720,0:23:24.480

are operating uh Grant support grants that should

have triggered the question for me on my second

0:23:24.480,0:23:28.920

and final question is you know the and you may not

know the answer to this you know the pending debt

0:23:28.920,0:23:35.340

ceiling bill would would theoretically rescind

about 28 billion in unspent coveted relief funds

0:23:35.340,0:23:41.400

do you anticipate that any of these funds would

be jeopardized by by the terms of that uh bill

0:23:42.060,0:23:48.120

we're definitely unable to answer that question

at this time but if if that should impact us

0:23:48.120,0:23:51.840

we'll certainly take appropriate action to

consider what funds we do have available

0:23:52.740,0:24:00.660

awesome thanks appreciate it all right

Angela Allen hey Jackie thank you

0:24:01.560,0:24:08.400

um I was wanting to follow up on the comment that

was just made about operating funds that Matt said

0:24:08.400,0:24:15.120

Can can we talk a little bit more about that I

just want to be clear that the expectation is

0:24:15.120,0:24:23.820

that we're going to be applying for Opera overall

operating funds and not specific programs right

0:24:24.720,0:24:29.700

right so it can be used toward

programs but it needs to be

0:24:30.600,0:24:39.720

um no Capital funding so it needs to be

salaries um you know programs overhead uh

0:24:39.720,0:24:45.540

supplies you know things of that nature

just no Capital expenses can be included

0:24:49.800,0:24:58.980

did that answer the question yes

thank you I appreciate it okay um JB

0:25:03.060,0:25:13.500

yes thank you um I had a couple questions about

the 990. yes uh for physical sponsorship um is

0:25:13.500,0:25:22.980

it is a 990 required for the organization that is

being sponsored or are we saying that the 990 from

0:25:22.980,0:25:31.080

the physical sponsor um actually provides their

990 um just trying to get clarity around that

0:25:33.000,0:25:40.320

um Pat correct me if I'm if I'm wrong but

the 990 is for the applicant not for the

0:25:40.320,0:25:47.820

fiscal sponsor is that correct Pat yes

you're correct Jackie okay thank you

0:25:50.100,0:25:56.820

okay so what's the 990 for the actual or

because I I was on an impression that 990s

0:25:56.820,0:26:03.240

were only four 501 c3s um non-profits

so if you're being physically sponsored

0:26:04.440,0:26:07.800

um as an applicant I don't

know if we would actually have

0:26:08.520,0:26:14.460

you know a 990 because we actually are requesting

a physical sponsor does that make sense

0:26:15.300,0:26:21.120

um if we had a 990 we wouldn't need a physical

sponsor is kind of what I'm saying okay Pat

0:26:21.120,0:26:27.660

can you field that question for us uh yes hi

JB yeah your 990 could be from your physical

0:26:27.660,0:26:32.880

sponsor if that's the case we would like to see

the agreement that you have with the with your

0:26:32.880,0:26:37.740

physical sponsorship it costs most agencies

that have physical sponsors do have a written

0:26:37.740,0:26:43.200

agreement that layout roles of responsibilities

of that physical sponsor with that agency

0:26:45.420,0:26:46.440

okay thank you

0:26:49.320,0:26:57.300

all right so next question we'll take is from

Eric yes thank you Jackie uh just a clarifying

0:26:57.300,0:27:03.720

question about the operating budgets that are

required to be uploaded uh for those of us who

0:27:03.720,0:27:10.200

are on a fiscal year that is not uh January

to December in our case it's July to June so

0:27:10.200,0:27:17.700

um for example 2023 operating budget would

that be for the fiscal year 23-24 or for 22.23

0:27:18.900,0:27:35.940

foreign I would say whether um if you're

on a fiscal year um for 2020 324 22 wait

0:27:37.500,0:27:42.300

um just the last three years your current

operating budget your operating budget from

0:27:42.300,0:27:48.000

last year and the one before that so however that

that works out whether that's calendar year or

0:27:48.000,0:27:54.900

fiscal year um yeah start with your current and

go back two years okay okay so we are wrapping

0:27:54.900,0:28:00.000

up a fiscal year now at the end of this month

so it would be for this current year and going

0:28:00.000,0:28:06.780

backwards not the budget that we're working on for

the for the new fiscal year that'll start July 1.

0:28:06.780,0:28:15.180

exactly you're right you're right on point

okay thank you thank you um Stephanie

0:28:17.220,0:28:25.500

yes thank you Jackie um I had two questions one

had to do with um the disbursement of the funds

0:28:25.500,0:28:33.900

if one is awarded um I maybe I missed a step when

you guys talked about the 30 percent does does

0:28:33.900,0:28:41.220

that mean the invoices that we would be submitting

would need to equal 30 of the grant award correct

0:28:41.220,0:28:46.620

okay so we need to make sure we're spending

it in that fashion okay just want to make sure

0:28:47.520,0:28:54.180

um and then the second question I came in just a

smidge late I was having issues with zoom and um I

0:28:54.180,0:29:01.200

thought I heard you say something about those you

know those categories of um of services and and

0:29:01.200,0:29:08.280

issues that you guys are interested in I wanted to

see if I thought I heard you said something like

0:29:08.880,0:29:19.320

um their suggestions are those hard and fast

categories or the three categories are are but

0:29:19.320,0:29:27.420

the the bullet points underneath are just to give

you ideas for what falls under each category so

0:29:27.420,0:29:34.080

you might be doing different work that falls

under you know those headings and that's okay

0:29:34.080,0:29:38.400

so if what you do isn't doesn't have its own

bullet point that doesn't mean that it doesn't

0:29:38.400,0:29:46.560

count it's not meant to be an exclusive list okay

great thank you so much you're welcome um Maria

0:29:52.440,0:29:58.980

sorry hi good afternoon I have a couple

of questions is this a one-time Grant or

0:29:58.980,0:30:08.400

something that we can reapply this is a one-time

Grant okay and how much time do we have is we we

0:30:08.400,0:30:15.780

have the funds uh we are awarded we have to

use the funds uh for the fiscal year that we

0:30:15.780,0:30:23.160

are in 23 24 in this case or we can extend

the amount of money for the next fiscal year

0:30:24.780,0:30:33.600

um it's one year so four four payments uh

quarterly so it's a one-year Grant okay and

0:30:33.600,0:30:39.840

for the report and this is my final question

um it needs to be something specific about

0:30:39.840,0:30:48.660

the outcome for example I am I'm in the uh

preschool uh educational area and so it's

0:30:48.660,0:30:56.760

um evidence-based assessment report data that we

have to present as an outcomes or how that works

0:30:59.100,0:31:04.980

um Nicole can you help me out with with that I

apologize I was answering a question in the chat

0:31:04.980,0:31:10.980

can you repeat the question please yes um I'm I'm

the director of preschool so for all the grants

0:31:10.980,0:31:17.580

that we already got in the past I always have to

report in base of outcomes that are evidence-based

0:31:17.580,0:31:24.000

so on assessment that are evidence-based in this

case it's the same thing how are the outcomes

0:31:24.900,0:31:30.780

um what requirement for the outcomes

on the reports that you guys asked for

0:31:30.780,0:31:36.960

yeah great question um the city has worked hard

to try to provide as much flexibility as possible

0:31:36.960,0:31:42.180

within this grant uh within the the recognition

that we are investing public dollars and have a

0:31:42.180,0:31:48.240

stewardship responsibility to do that well um

so in terms of outcomes I think you have some

0:31:48.240,0:31:53.940

flexibility to decide what that means to you

specific to your organization because all of

0:31:53.940,0:31:57.900

the nonprofits represented and funded are

probably going to do a pretty wide variety

0:31:57.900,0:32:04.740

of things and so the evidence evidence-based

requirement is not part of our guidelines but

0:32:04.740,0:32:10.500

we may have some follow-up questions for you

upon a receipt of the grantees applications

0:32:10.500,0:32:19.500

to help us arrive at a better definition

thank you of course all right uh Shamira

0:32:22.260,0:32:27.360

yeah so I just wanted to um clarify I'm vice

president of the Urban League here in Charlotte

0:32:27.360,0:32:32.580

and we are a Fiscal Agent for smaller nonprofits

that have budgets under a certain amount of money

0:32:32.580,0:32:40.440

so when they go and apply for federal grants we're

allowed to submit our 990 because they don't have

0:32:40.440,0:32:47.880

enough money to file a 9.94 an audit um so I want

to make sure in this case like just to clarify

0:32:47.880,0:32:54.720

if anybody is using a Fiscal Agent and I think

Patricia may have touched on it but um I didn't

0:32:54.720,0:33:01.620

hear the response the Fiscal Agent is allowed

to submit their 990 for the smaller non-profit

0:33:01.620,0:33:10.500

is that correct yes that is correct Samira okay

um just just as long as they have a they provide

0:33:10.500,0:33:17.160

us with the written agreement that you have with

that with the organization because a lot of the uh

0:33:17.160,0:33:24.060

organizations since they don't have a um their

501c3 there should be a written agreement that

0:33:24.060,0:33:30.720

lays out the roles and responsibilities to other

Fiscal Agent okay perfect and my last question and

0:33:30.720,0:33:35.040

I apologize because I'm doing laundry I'm sure

you hear that um my last question that I have

0:33:35.040,0:33:41.460

is in the realm of the Workforce Development under

the Community resilience Branch um is there a data

0:33:41.460,0:33:47.340

metrics that will be linked to job outcomes or do

you not have those data metric numbers as of yet

0:33:49.920,0:33:58.860

I will need to um get back to you on that no I

don't have those numbers um right yet so I'll

0:33:58.860,0:34:03.240

make a note because I just didn't know if it was

going to be based on like say if we applied and we

0:34:03.240,0:34:08.820

say that with this funding we can serve 75 people

and out of that 75 people we can make sure that

0:34:08.820,0:34:14.760

70 of them get placed into a job is that going to

be what the metrics is like do we Define what a

0:34:14.760,0:34:21.540

research and evaluation will look like for this

or do you all Define that for us Nicole can you

0:34:21.540,0:34:27.840

help us out with that you will Define that there's

just no way that we can pattern um a requirement

0:34:27.840,0:34:33.960

based on all of the wonderful things that this

group does okay does that need to be included in

0:34:33.960,0:34:37.920

the grant what the out what we anticipate the

outcomes would be if we are awarded the funds

0:34:39.840,0:34:47.220

Jackie I believe that is a question in the

application can you confirm um I will yes yeah

0:34:56.400,0:35:01.620

and while she's looking at that um and I just

want to ask about application strengtheners

0:35:02.220,0:35:06.540

um are you all looking for part letters of

partnership like we were to partner with a

0:35:06.540,0:35:10.920

smaller non-profit would that strengthen our

application or if we were to partner with say

0:35:11.940,0:35:16.020

um other Workforce Development agencies

or Consultants that are doing this work

0:35:16.680,0:35:19.380

um is that something that could strengthen

our application or would that hurt us

0:35:25.140,0:35:31.200

and and that's another question for Jackie

specific to the scoring criteria so what will give

0:35:31.200,0:35:37.500

her moment to bring that information up on letters

of partnership and participation that I don't

0:35:37.500,0:35:42.840

believe will ever hurt you um in applying for uh

grants particularly with the city of Charlotte

0:35:43.980,0:35:47.400

um in terms of if they'll strengthen

your application you'll just have to

0:35:47.400,0:35:53.040

decide if you think that is um the

the best path forward again because

0:35:53.040,0:35:56.760

this is a grant for operating funds

it's a little bit different than if

0:35:56.760,0:36:03.480

you were endeavoring as a catalyst to a new

programming or an additional non-profit so

0:36:03.480,0:36:08.100

um I don't know that the partnership is as

important for operating grants but it definitely

0:36:09.060,0:36:15.180

um would help to to address that component of

the application of where you are serving at a

0:36:15.180,0:36:20.340

spirit impact due to covid yeah because I mean

it may be a partnership where we try to employ

0:36:21.180,0:36:26.040

um employees from smaller nonprofits that can't

afford operational expenses so I just wanted to

0:36:26.040,0:36:31.260

ask before I made that a part of the application

but thank you so much great questions and I'm just

0:36:31.260,0:36:37.500

going to re-share my screen for another moment and

share the questions application questions with you

0:36:38.340,0:36:46.260

um these are available online on the um when

you go to the application portal on the right

0:36:46.260,0:36:55.260

hand side of that screen you'll see something that

says CRF application or guidelines and questions

0:36:55.260,0:37:03.540

if you click on that you'll you'll get a copy

of the guidelines and the the questions so in

0:37:03.540,0:37:09.600

the application you'll be asked to describe your

mission your programming the communities that your

0:37:09.600,0:37:17.700

organization serves um the impact of covid on the

communities that you serve you'll choose one of

0:37:17.700,0:37:28.140

the um Community resilience fund themes that most

closely aligns with your work and you'll describe

0:37:28.140,0:37:36.060

how it how it connects you'll talk about how many

people annually are served and then you'll put

0:37:36.060,0:37:41.580

in your funding amount and remember that can

be up to 30 percent of your operating budget

0:37:43.080,0:37:48.840

um your request should be proportionate to the

hardship caused by covid-19 to the community

0:37:48.840,0:37:58.560

served and so you'll want to discuss how that is

proportionate and how the dollars will be used

0:37:58.560,0:38:04.620

to support the organization in continuing

to serve vulnerable vulnerable populations

0:38:05.820,0:38:13.020

and then you'll describe your organization's

Financial situations so you'll Define

0:38:13.020,0:38:18.540

it I'm using these definitions

stable threatened or vulnerable

0:38:21.420,0:38:29.400

um how you will um stabilize or continue

stabilizing Revenue to operate past this

0:38:29.400,0:38:37.260

grant cycle so once the grant funds are expended

how will you continue on and if you require a

0:38:37.260,0:38:45.780

fiscal sponsor then you'll upload the agreement

letter and the details for that and then we talked

0:38:45.780,0:38:52.920

about the documentation so your board roster the

IRS determination letter for you or your fiscal

0:38:52.920,0:39:02.820

sponsor a copy of the agreement if applicable

and then the um either your 990 or your fiscal

0:39:02.820,0:39:10.140

sponsors 990 and then the three operating

budgets and then the arpa requirements so

0:39:10.140,0:39:17.700

your unique entity ID and expiration date

and then the application also lists the

0:39:18.720,0:39:25.140

um the payment schedule there for you

as well and the reporting requirements

0:39:30.240,0:39:37.800

okay all right so we'll continue answering

questions Ken do you want to go next

0:39:38.640,0:39:46.260

yes thank you um I'm Ken Trader with re-entry

housing Alliance the first criteria you have the

0:39:46.260,0:39:52.560

for all organizations to qualify is to serve

the public um and operating in Charlotte for

0:39:52.560,0:39:58.320

four consecutive years RHA has been a 501c3

for just over a year but we've been operating

0:39:58.320,0:40:05.820

in the community for over five years does that

work is that still qualifies yes um yes so you

0:40:05.820,0:40:13.860

don't have to be a 501c3 for four years um but

you your organization has to have been operating

0:40:14.580,0:40:19.860

um in the community for four years do I understand

the question right so you've been operating for

0:40:19.860,0:40:26.160

for the right amount of time but you haven't been

a 501c3 for the full four years correct okay yes

0:40:26.880,0:40:32.580

okay great thank you very much you're welcome

last year Pat there are a couple of questions in

0:40:32.580,0:40:40.800

the chat okay one of them can we upload 990s from

2021 and 2022 or do we need to show our operating

0:40:40.800,0:40:48.600

expense documents for those years that would be

the operating expense for those years you just

0:40:48.600,0:40:55.380

need the nine the current 990 for 2023 um and then

the operating budgets for the last three years

0:40:55.380,0:41:01.500

starting with the current year whether that's

calendar or fiscal excellent thank you and this

0:41:01.500,0:41:07.920

might be a Pat Mason question can indirect rate

be utilized to expense administrative oversight

0:41:16.200,0:41:19.320

and if we need to research that

question and come back we can well

0:41:19.320,0:41:24.240

I think it depends on what that indirect

rate is because that indirect rate is uh

0:41:26.580,0:41:30.900

yeah we'll we'll need to get back

with you on that yeah thank you

0:41:37.080,0:41:39.600

all right um Freddy

0:41:42.900,0:41:43.980

you're on mute

0:41:50.160,0:41:57.720

Betty can you unmute yourself yes I thank you

so much can you hear me now yes all right my

0:41:57.720,0:42:02.340

question goes towards um our organization

is in the 501c3 registered for more than 10

0:42:02.340,0:42:08.640

years but at this point we had to file for uh

to request a file extension for our taxes are

0:42:08.640,0:42:17.880

we still in a good condition to apply Pat

can you answer that so you requested a a

0:42:18.900,0:42:26.880

filing extension an extension to file your 990.

yes Mom that is correct yeah um can you provide

0:42:26.880,0:42:34.020

us with the extension form that you that

you had to file with yeah because you do

0:42:34.020,0:42:41.460

have to file an extension yeah yeah provide us

with that and we'll look at it yes thank you

0:42:44.760,0:42:48.960

all right so there's still some hands raised

I'm not sure if it's just that you didn't take

0:42:48.960,0:42:53.520

them down or if there's some new questions

so John or Angela do you have more questions

0:42:54.420,0:43:03.000

yeah I do actually so you said that the first

invoice is due 45 days after the contract signing

0:43:03.720,0:43:11.580

and then it's going to be for 30 of the total

if I applied for 250 which is what I'm planning

0:43:11.580,0:43:20.640

to apply for um that's 75 000 but Stephanie

was asking if we have to provide receipts

0:43:21.240,0:43:28.560

with that so I guess my question is is this

a is this a reimbursement type Grant or are

0:43:28.560,0:43:35.100

you paying the money up front and do we have

to supply receipts for seventy five thousand

0:43:35.100,0:43:42.120

dollars worth of expenditure within the first 45

days of the contract do you know what I mean I do

0:43:42.960,0:43:48.180

um so actually Nicole can we go backwards

0:43:49.800,0:43:53.040

like going forward

0:43:53.040,0:44:03.120

oh in terms of the receipts today yeah let us

let us get back to you with that the the uh

0:44:03.780,0:44:08.820

disbursements are structured in a way

to provide some cash up front and so we

0:44:08.820,0:44:14.460

probably need to think through if anything is

required to receive that first allocation we

0:44:14.460,0:44:19.800

will definitely address that uh via some follows

thank you for the great question perfect thank you

0:44:22.320,0:44:27.660

John you have another question I actually haven't

gotten to ask any yet so this is my first oh I'm

0:44:27.660,0:44:33.900

sorry that's all right um are there in I have

two large questions one is of the three themes

0:44:33.900,0:44:39.540

that you describe housing in neighborhoods equity

and inclusion sustainability and environment do

0:44:39.540,0:44:44.400

you have more explanation of what you mean

by that somewhere in the grant proposal or

0:44:45.300,0:44:49.260

because I I know you have the dot

points that are meant to be illustrative

0:44:56.580,0:45:00.720

the categories um you know they're broad

0:45:01.800,0:45:08.280

um and you can um you know depending on

what your organization does you just need to

0:45:09.480,0:45:15.600

um you know make the uh make the

case which of those three categories

0:45:16.320,0:45:23.700

um most closely aligns with what you do but you

don't have any more definitions specifically of

0:45:23.700,0:45:31.080

what you mean by for instance equity and inclusion

don't think we have I can try to put together some

0:45:31.080,0:45:38.100

definitions but no I don't have um written

definitions of those three um those three

0:45:38.100,0:45:44.700

categories but let me make a note and we'll we'll

try to explain that a little bit better that'd be

0:45:44.700,0:45:49.920

great and I have uh one other question and that

is regarding the presentation of budgets and

0:45:49.920,0:45:56.580

financials from previous years you've asked for

budgets not not actuals so do you just want to see

0:45:56.580,0:46:02.520

the act just just the budget not for the previous

three years you don't want to see what the actual

0:46:03.360,0:46:13.320

um uh receipts and expenses were against budget

just the budget Pat can you respond to that

0:46:13.320,0:46:19.500

you're shaking your head yes yeah yeah operating

budget we asked just for the operating budget but

0:46:20.160,0:46:24.720

um we probably need to go back and look at that

but we just did act just for the operating budget

0:46:25.860,0:46:29.280

okay dark you're going to have a

standardized presentation or will

0:46:29.280,0:46:34.800

you take whatever presentation we have like are

you going to provide a template for us to say

0:46:34.800,0:46:39.180

please fill this out with your expenses

so that you can compare apples to apples

0:46:40.380,0:46:46.920

no we don't have a template so to stop just

upload your your version great thank you

0:46:50.220,0:46:51.240

Ken do you have a question

0:46:56.100,0:47:00.840

that actually somebody in chat has the perfect

follow-up for me so I'm going to just read their

0:47:00.840,0:47:06.000

question what document will be required to

show operation for four years if an agency

0:47:06.000,0:47:12.540

has 501c3 for only a year so basically

how do we prove that we've been serving

0:47:12.540,0:47:20.160

the community for those four years prior to

becoming a C3 org that is a good question um

0:47:20.880,0:47:28.620

I guess you put that in your narrative

um in the the questions um and we would

0:47:29.520,0:47:34.560

I don't know how we'd we'll need to figure

out how we're going to verify verify that

0:47:35.220,0:47:41.340

um because I don't believe that there is a a

question that directly uh correlates to that

0:47:44.040,0:47:46.380

okay so that's that's to be determined

0:47:47.220,0:47:53.820

yeah we'll we'll get back to you

on on that okay all right thank you

0:47:58.440,0:48:07.500

any other questions oh yes uh JB yes so um

and then just for clarity for me just to give

0:48:07.500,0:48:16.260

a context um I'll have a social work company

and call has a social work you know although

0:48:16.260,0:48:23.520

we are definitely a health profession the North

Carolina Board requires us to register as a pllc

0:48:24.180,0:48:28.920

uh we do have a physical sponsor to help

with some of our non-profit programming

0:48:29.460,0:48:35.820

uh but I guess the question is um if our physical

sponsor is providing the 990 does that mean that

0:48:35.820,0:48:41.820

we need to provide our taxes along with it or

how does that work along with the agreement

0:48:43.920,0:48:50.340

Pat can you help with that and JB when you

say taxes what taxes are you referring to

0:48:52.560,0:49:00.000

um just our agency taxes that we pay every year

your agency taxes that you pay a year that you

0:49:00.000,0:49:07.320

that you file with the IRS or that yes correct

yeah yeah that would be that would be helpful okay

0:49:11.220,0:49:19.440

Melissa all right thank you um one great

information but two questions separate

0:49:19.440,0:49:26.400

categories one as far as operating expenses um we

typically categorize our utility waste pickup and

0:49:26.400,0:49:32.940

those types of things for our facility as a part

of our operations costs and in a large repairs

0:49:32.940,0:49:39.180

whether it's AC units or things like that for the

facility we count that as capital so is that how

0:49:39.180,0:49:48.540

you're categorizing um operating expenses not sure

about repairs Pat do you want to weigh in on that

0:49:50.280,0:49:55.800

well not repairs um week we count repairs

as as capital expenses okay so I know that

0:49:55.800,0:50:00.840

that's excluded but as far as utilities and

things like that we count that as operating

0:50:00.840,0:50:09.120

yeah same definition yes utilities would

be operating expenses okay fantastic and

0:50:09.900,0:50:15.900

oh go ahead I'm sorry oh I was just gonna say

for Capital I think we're just defining that as

0:50:16.500,0:50:25.320

um equipment um Furniture Land building stuff

like that okay great um the other question

0:50:25.320,0:50:30.900

that I have is in regard to our community

impact so as a part of the foundation we have

0:50:30.900,0:50:36.480

strategic Partners where we work with several

other organizations to partner with those

0:50:37.020,0:50:43.980

um uh groups um or in a number of different

categories so as far as our impact we need

0:50:43.980,0:50:50.100

to show any evidence of that or letters of

support for that in the Grant application packet

0:50:52.140,0:50:55.980

um I think letters uh of support are always

0:50:57.000,0:51:01.620

um good to include but they

are not required okay thank you

0:51:05.340,0:51:11.460

any other questions you know Nicole's been

kind of Fielding questions in the in the

0:51:11.460,0:51:19.260

chat are there any chat questions that we

need to to get to not currently a couple of

0:51:19.260,0:51:23.340

people have asked how they would access the

answers and we will capture the questions

0:51:23.340,0:51:28.620

answered in this workshop and additionally the

questions that we have some research to do on

0:51:28.620,0:51:34.860

into a FAQ document and we will uh post that

on the website which contains the application

0:51:34.860,0:51:39.060

link and we will also distribute that to

folks who have registered for this Workshop

0:51:43.500,0:51:47.220

all right thanks Nicole are

there any other questions

0:51:48.420,0:51:52.920

JB do you have another question

if uh future questions arise

0:51:53.640,0:52:00.780

um and we reach out um I know they have you

listed as a POC Jackie um yes yeah is that

0:52:00.780,0:52:05.580

is that what we do yeah so you can reach out

to me and I'll research and get back to you

0:52:06.120,0:52:12.180

um follow up with whomever um on our team to get

the to get the answer and I'll I'll let you know

0:52:14.940,0:52:16.440

Maria do you have another question

0:52:19.260,0:52:20.460

um so

0:52:23.700,0:52:28.500

may I ask a question please yes I

have a question I put it in the chat

0:52:28.500,0:52:35.280

actually um surrounding the 30 of your um

agency's operating budget I know you asked

0:52:35.280,0:52:41.160

for multiple years so which year do you

consider the 30 off which year would you

0:52:42.000,0:52:50.520

um use to calculate your 30 percent the

current year right Pat Jessica okay thank you

0:52:56.880,0:52:58.980

right any other questions

0:53:04.500,0:53:08.160

um there are some questions in the

chat about the three categories

0:53:09.000,0:53:13.200

um one just folks wanting to see those

again and then a specifically ask about

0:53:13.200,0:53:19.860

how an organization working for a healthy

Community cancer support.org might fit

0:53:22.020,0:53:27.540

all right so the three categories

are housing and neighborhoods

0:53:27.540,0:53:31.980

equity and inclusion and

sustainability and environment

0:53:34.440,0:53:40.260

and I can pull up if you'd like to see

the bullet points I can pull that up in

0:53:40.260,0:53:45.000

a moment and what was the second part of that

question Nicole there was somebody looking for

0:53:45.000,0:53:50.640

help categorizing uh where their agency might

fit under those three headings the agency does

0:53:50.640,0:53:55.740

and works for a healthy Community it sounds

like supporting folks experiencing cancer

0:53:57.780,0:54:02.460

that would probably fall under housing

in neighborhoods in that category

0:54:05.700,0:54:10.800

would you agree with that and

they pull up the bullet points

0:54:21.000,0:54:22.920

share my screen again

0:54:33.840,0:54:39.540

all right are you able to see that

yes ma'am all right there we go

0:54:49.520,0:54:50.520

[Music]

0:54:50.520,0:54:54.300

yeah I think the closest would

be housing in neighborhoods

0:54:57.960,0:54:58.620

you know

0:55:01.560,0:55:05.700

fostering connections um you

know vulnerable residents

0:55:06.600,0:55:09.540

strengthening families and social networks

0:55:13.980,0:55:17.820

so does does that help

0:55:24.060,0:55:29.040

that was a question from Cindy Teddy Cindy

hopefully that helped you out and as a

0:55:29.040,0:55:35.280

reminder these three categories in bold are

really what dictates eligibility of purpose

0:55:35.280,0:55:41.160

for the grant all of the dots underneath

of that as Jackie shared are just kind of

0:55:41.160,0:55:46.980

ideas to help articulate what those headings

might mean it is not a complete list and it

0:55:46.980,0:55:50.820

does not mean that if you do things that

you think fit in these headings that are

0:55:50.820,0:55:55.680

outside of the bullet points provided that

you would be ineligible the three category

0:55:55.680,0:56:00.480

headings are really what was dictated by

Council and that's what we'll be going by

0:56:06.360,0:56:09.840

right so it looks like there's a couple more

questions Angela do you have another question

0:56:10.860,0:56:19.620

yeah just one more I looking at this list again I

kind of think that we fit under both housing and

0:56:19.620,0:56:26.940

neighborhood and equity and inclusion depending on

which of our various programs we're talking about

0:56:28.380,0:56:32.880

um should we just pick the

one that fits best Maybe

0:56:33.840,0:56:37.260

because my organization is big and

we do a lot of different things

0:56:39.300,0:56:43.860

yeah I would say choose the one

that you feel aligns the best

0:56:44.940,0:56:50.160

okay and then in your narrative

you can you know expand on that

0:56:50.160,0:56:55.260

and say we also you know there okay

do some work in in this other area

0:56:57.600,0:56:59.040

Maria do you have another question

0:57:01.320,0:57:09.720

uh can you send this recorder meeting or are we

going to be able to have this slideshow of oh

0:57:09.720,0:57:16.680

no yes I'll send you the slideshow and when the

meeting is posted online I'll send you the link

0:57:17.460,0:57:22.680

um to the recording and that probably will

take a couple of days for us to uh to get

0:57:22.680,0:57:28.800

that ready but I can send the slides

in the morning thank you you're welcome

0:57:33.480,0:57:35.400

all right any other questions

0:57:43.620,0:57:47.700

foreign well if there aren't any other questions

0:57:48.960,0:57:57.000

um thank you for joining us again and um we

will send you the slides and let you know when

0:57:57.000,0:58:03.660

the link is posted uh for the recording and we

look forward to receiving your applications and

0:58:03.660,0:58:09.000

learning more about your your organizations and

the great work that you're doing in the community

0:58:10.080,0:58:15.960

Becky one more question in the chat here that

I missed um city council did not adopt specific

0:58:15.960,0:58:20.820

definitions of the areas of community

resilience you are correct John Quillen

0:58:25.740,0:58:26.240

right

0:58:30.000,0:58:31.680

sorry I've lost the chat box

0:58:35.400,0:58:42.720

I think we've got them all okay thank you

again to everybody and to to Jackie and Pat for

0:58:42.720,0:58:46.080

um ensuring that we've got a

great application and process here

0:58:48.000,0:58:55.380

yes Melissa if you have additional questions

reach out to me and I will get the answer for you

0:58:55.980,0:58:58.680

oh I see another hand Lisa did you have a question

0:59:01.020,0:59:02.160

you are on mute

0:59:05.040,0:59:08.160

okay I'm so sorry that was probably

kind of my problem I couldn't find

0:59:08.160,0:59:12.720

it raise my hand but because I'm broad

because I do apologize oh so real quick

0:59:12.720,0:59:17.640

um because part of what we do we do a lot of

training mental health and wellness training

0:59:17.640,0:59:23.160

we have a support group and we use slideshows

and during the pandemic we kind of lost our

0:59:24.360,0:59:29.280

um tracking software that we do you know that

we were doing at the time with our measurements

0:59:29.280,0:59:34.680

so in order to get that back is that part

of capital or is that part of my expense

0:59:36.540,0:59:42.240

software I don't think would be a

capital expense Pat can you confirm that

0:59:43.080,0:59:51.600

you know software is not a chemical experience to

be more operating okay okay and then so like our

0:59:51.600,0:59:58.380

computers is that a capital is that operating

computers are capital because you have to yeah

0:59:59.220,1:00:07.200

okay okay that's what I need you to know thank

you so much um and I also saw a question flashed

1:00:07.200,1:00:12.420

on my screen about salaries so yeah salaries

are eligible under General operating support

1:00:14.940,1:00:20.280

I'm trying to take my hand down and I don't

know how to do that I'm sorry no worries

1:00:27.540,1:00:32.340

all right did we get all the questions

so yes you can use for salaries

1:00:35.820,1:00:40.980

all right well again thank you so

much for joining us tonight and

1:00:40.980,1:00:43.440
