Community Residence - Single Room Occupancy provides long-term housing for adults with serious mental illness. It provides private living units with on-site services. Residents can access support staff 24/7. Goals include:
- Reducing the demand for longer term stays in inpatient settings
- Helping people move towards more independent housing
The Office of Mental Health is seeking proposals for the development and operation of a 50-unit CR-SRO in Broome County for people recovering from a serious mental illness.
