--
Q3: Is there a landscape maintenance or plant establishment period for this project?
A3: Yes, the landscape shall be maintained during progress of the work, the one-year
maintenance period and until final acceptance of the work. Please refer to Page 47 of the
Specifications under 10-1.28 Landscaping, A. Maintenance.
--

September 16, 2025.

Q6: Please advise as to whether or not the standard ACORD forms will be acceptable to Owner
in lieu of the insurance certificates provided in the Exhibits 1, 2, 3 and 11.
A6: Yes, standard ACORD forms will be accepted with the City of Corcoran listed as Additional

--
Q7: Bid Items 4 and 7 are both labeled “Construction Staking.” Is this a clerical error?
A7: Yes, Bid Item 7 is a duplicate and has been removed. Please see changes to specifications
indicated above and the revised pages, attached.
--
Q8: Section 10-1.16 of the specifications state in bold, “Asphalt must be loaded into the paver
with a material transfer vehicle (pick-up machine). Loading hot mix asphalt straight into the
hopper of the paver will not be permitted.” Considering the majority of asphalt paving on this
project is plug paving against the gutter pan and minor intersection paving, would the Owner
consider striking this requirement from the specifications?
A8: Yes, this method will not be required due to most asphalt work being minor paving and
pavement patches.
--
Q9: Refer to detail 2 on sheet no. 17; it indicates placing planting soil or amending existing soil
per specification. However, the planting soil is not shown in the specification. Please clarify the
type of planting soil: imported soil or on-site soil? Also provide an installation depth for bidding
purposes.
A9: On-site soil shall be amended for planting purposes, based on the soils report provided by
the contractor. Please refer to Specifications Section 10-1.28 Landscaping, B. Soils report. Depth
of planting soil will vary by plant and tree and shall match the depth of the rootball.
--
Q10: Section 10-1.27.M & the irrigation legend on sheet no. 23 both show the irrigation
controller is a battery-operated control controller model #TBOS-BT4LT, which is usually
installed within an irrigation valve box. However, section 10-1.27 M requires it to be installed in
a stainless steel enclosure assembly unless noted on the drawing since the drawing does not
provide detail for these controllers. Please clarify if these controllers will be installed in valve
boxes or in controller assemblies for bidding purposes.
A10: The controllers shall be installed in irrigation valve boxes.
--
Q11: Per section 10-1.27/T, the bubbler for trees is model RZWS-10-CV. However, Sheet 23
shows model RZWS-18-CV. Please clarify.
A11: The model for the bubblers for trees shall be RZWS-18-CV.
--
Q12: Clarify the type of irrigation system: domestic or reclaimed?
A12: Domestic.
--
Q13: Refer to irrigation plan sheet no. 24; a callout indicates that the contractor shall hot tap
existing waterline for the proposed water meter installation. Clarify the size & type and depth of
the water main.
A13: Per our records, the 10” water main at location 1, west of Pickerell Ave is Asbestos-
Cement and the 8” water main at location 2, east of Pickerell Ave is C900. Exact depth of the
water mains is unknown.
--
Q14: For bidding purposes, please provide the associated fees as applicable/needed for the water
meter installation, such as permit fee, inspection fee and the capacity fees.
A14: Water meters shall be purchased from the City at a cost of $550 per water meter with a
$100 connection fee. The encroachment permit shall be fee exempt since it is a city-owned
project.
--
Q15: Provide the geotechnical soil report if available.
A15: A geotechnical soil report for an adjacent project has been attached to this Addendum 1.
--
Q16: According to Caltrans standard specification 20-2.01B(7), the valve box and cover must be
precast concrete. However, section 10-1.27 W shows a plastic valve box. Please clarify.
A16: Since the valve box & cover will be in concrete, it shall be precast concrete.
--
Q17: Can you please confirm if the Traffic Stripes are to be installed in Paint or Thermoplastic?
Can you also please confirm if the Pavement Markings are to be installed in Paint or
Thermoplastic?
A17: Traffic striping and pavement markings shall be paint, 2-coats.
