- Summary The City of Kalamazoo is initiating a Community Air Quality Monitoring Program aimed at enhancing environmental health and public awareness. As part of this effort, the City seeks a qualified service provider to furnish, install, and maintain a network of sixteen (16) air quality monitors.
SCOPE
The selected service provider shall perform the following services:
2.1 Equipment Installation and Integration
- Install and configure sixteen (16) air quality monitors across designated sites within the City.
- Integrate air quality sensor data with GPS-based geolocation information.
- Ensure seamless data transmission to a centralized data management system.
2.2 Public Data Portal
- Develop and maintain a real-time, publicly accessible online dashboard displaying air quality data.
- Ensure that the portal includes data visualization, historical data access, and interpretative tools to assist public understanding.
2.3 System Setup and Administration
- Establish and maintain the necessary domain, server, and database infrastructure for the data portal, including security protocols and data backup solutions.
- Create an administrative user account for the City of Kalamazoo to allow internal data downloads, configuration management, and receipt of equipment status alerts.
2.4 Ongoing Support and Maintenance
- Provide routine maintenance, calibration, and validation services for all monitoring equipment to ensure data accuracy and compliance with relevant standards.
- Deliver ongoing technical support to address system performance issues and to advise on strategic applications of the monitoring data for regulatory compliance and community engagement purposes.
2.5 Additional Requirements
- Provide all necessary documentation, including user manuals, maintenance schedules, and technical specifications.
- Ensure that all activities comply with applicable local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
