Commercial Center Safe Routes to School

The project includes improvements to numerous existing roads, construction of a new roadway, and an improvement of a 2-acre open space area adjacent to Moody Creek.  Work includes pavement widening, curb, gutter, sidewalk, utilities, drainage infrastructure and lighting improvements to Grand Avenue, Shasta Way, Cascade Boulevard and Shasta Dam Boulevard (SR-151).  Construction of Wonderland Boulevard including a section consistent with an 84-ft right of way per City of Shasta Lake Construction Standards (COSLCS) including landscaped medians, complete street design components, utility design and coordination (water, wastewater, stormwater, joint utility trench & irrigation), safe crossing infrastructure to open space across Wonderland Boulevard.  Improvements to a 2-acre open space adjacent to Moody Creek with improved trails, and signage, and enhanced water-wise landscaping and shade tree planting, green sustainable stormwater infrastructure including bioretention and bioswales.
