Commerce for WIOA Youth & Young Adult Programming

Project Description: The Montgomery County Workforce Development Board (MontcoWorks), appointed by the Montgomery County Board of Commissioners, is responsible under the provisions of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) of 2014 with developing an effective workforce system in Montgomery County that meets the needs of current and future employers and job seekers. As part of this effort, MontcoWorks implements strategies that are aimed at both in-school (ISY) and out-of-school youth (OSY) as defined by WIOA. The MontcoWorks Youth Committee provides expertise in youth services and needs assessments and assists MontcoWorks in this mission.
Workforce development programming expected under this request for proposal covers all services required under WIOA to meet the needs of eligible ISY and OSY in within the legislative mandates and expenditure requirements with a capacity to adapt programming as needed with legislative changes with a continued focus on meeting the specific needs of eligible youth and young adults in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
