The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Biomedical Measurement Technologies group is seeking an automated high-speed and high-resolution confocal scanning microscope forr imaging biomolecules, such as proteins, DNA, and biological cells, on various substrates including quartz, silicon, or microscope slides. The measurements are a critical component of a CHIPS program to assess the functionalization of semiconductor substrates with passivation and biorecognition elements to advance measurements of manufacturable CMOS biosensors.
