Coding and Other Revenue Cycle Services for Department of Emergency Medicine

Project Description: The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSA) is soliciting proposals from a qualified vendors to provide end-to-end revenue cycle and medical coding services for UTHSA, including coding of medical records in Epic EHR, claims submission, accounts receivable follow-up, denial management, and patient billing support. Services must meet defined KPI performance standards, including coding accuracy above 95%, with regular audits, reporting, and corrective action plans as needed.
The Contractor will ensure qualified and certified coding staff, provide management oversight and staffing continuity, and support revenue cycle operations such as payment posting, audit responses, and data reporting.
The engagement also requires a structured implementation plan, regulatory compliance (CMS and HIPAA), and strong data security practices, including confidentiality protections, business continuity planning, and execution of a Business Associate Agreement (BAA).
No Guarantee of Volume. UTHSA does not solicit or guarantee any specific amount of compensation, volume, minimum, or maximum amount of Services under this RFP or any contract or agreement resulting from this RFP.
