Welding Simulator Requirements:
Features:
• Dual simulator unit, supporting simultaneous training for two operators at a time on one machine.
• Touchscreen monitors.
• VR headsets and welding devices to support the following features:
• Machine Set-up simulation requiring students to properly set-up of material, gas flow, voltage, wire-feed speed.
• Provides audio feedback of welding sounds.
• Simulates puddle, sparks, slag, grinding, cooling.
• Reveals flaws and interruptions in the weld during the simulation.
• Simulates a bend test.
• Tracking and scoring of key weld parameters including angle, speed, position.
• Instructor view capability, allowing instructor to monitor and evaluate during student simulation.
• Replay mode capability.
• Curriculum provided/available with lessons on welding principles, safety measures and technical demonstrations.
Specifications:
• Supports welding types: GMAW, FCAW, MIG, SMAW, GTAW(with and without filler metal), TIG.
• Supports processes: Short Arc, Axial Spray, Pulse, Gas-shielded, Self-shielded, E6013, E7018, E6010.
• Includes various welding coupons.
• Supports various types of joints and positions within : groove, fillet, lap, plate.
• Supports base material, filler material: Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Aluminum, various thickness including schedule 40 and 80 pipe.
