Solicitation Description:

The Metro Transit Police Department (MTPD), in partnership with the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), is seeking to establish a comprehensive contract with a qualified vendor to support and enhance the capabilities of its Canine Unit. This procurement includes the acquisition of four (4) police canines. The primary objective is to strengthen public safety and expand the operational reach of MTPDs Canine Unit throughout the WMATA transit system. The selected vendor will be responsible for providing canines suitable for training in explosives detection and hard surface tracking.
