CMAR Newtonville Commuter Rail Station Accessibility Improvements Project, Newton, MA

Work consists of the reconstruction of the Newtonville Commuter Rail Station located on the Worcester Line to meet current accessibility requirements. Specifically, the proposed project will include installation of retaining walls necessary to accommodate a new station. Additionally, the work entails the construction of four hundred (400) foot side platforms including drilled micropile foundation, two (2) electric traction elevators tying both platforms to proposed Washington Street entrance and both vertical and horizontal adjustment to track within proposed station footprint.
