Clinical and Experiential Learning Management System

Binghamton University intends to purchase an experiential learning management system that helps manage our externship/clinical program. The program needs to track and store all the information pertaining to the preceptors who are taking pharmacy students on rotations. It will also track and store all the information pertaining to the pharmacy students going on rotations.

The program needs to track preceptor sites, what availability the preceptor is giving for the various rotations and student evaluations. It must track what site the student is going to, what their schedule is and preceptor evaluations. It also needs to store a syllabus, for each rotation, detailing required assignments and a checklist of required activities. Each assignment will have a corresponding rubric that the preceptor may utilize to evaluate a student’s performance. A midpoint/final evaluation rubric will be provided for the preceptor to evaluate the student’s total performance on the rotation. Students can put their site preferences in and their rotations are scheduled from there.

It needs to have the capability to keep track of and store the Affiliation Agreements, site visit evaluations and all the onboarding information needed for preceptors and students in order for a student to go on their rotation. This system needs to allow users to build and maintain a curriculum map, efficiently manage and report on student competency assessments, and track performance with course and faculty evaluations. It needs to provide students with a self-curated presentation portfolio.

SUNY intends to make an award under our discretionary authority, pursuant to NYS Education Law 355 (5) {a}, which is up to $125,000, for the above noted commodity / product or service.
