Climate Resilience ZoningCity of South Portland

South Portland, ME

The City of South Portland, Maine is requesting proposals from qualified land use planning consultants for our Climate Resilience Zoning project (RFP #14-25). This project will build from the climate resiliency framework and recommendations included in the City's climate action plan, One Climate Future . It will include the development of a climate resilience overlay zone and associated zoning standards to address increasing climate-related risks due to sea level rise, storm surge, flooding, and high heat citywide. A successful proposal will be expected to leverage local hydrodynamic inundation modeling data and include a robust deliberative community engagement process in order to develop land use policy recommendations.
