Clearwater County - Invitation to Bid - Bridge Construction and Other…

The Work at Bridge File 70151 carrying Range Road 5-5 over the North Raven River, involves removing the existing culverts and constructing a 21.336 m long, single span industrial bridge. A location plan has been included in the Plans section of this document for the Contractor’s convenience.

Without limiting the provisions of these Specifications and Contract, the Scope of Work at this site shall include the following:

- Mobilization
- Traffic accommodation for bridge construction
- Total suspended solids testing
- Demolition and disposal of existing structure
- Headslope preparation and backfill
- Supply of piling – plain steel pipe pile (508Øx12.7mm)
- Pipe pile tip reinforcement (508Øx12.7mm)
- Pile set-up (508Ø pipe pile)
- Pile driving (508Ø pipe pile)
- Supply of piling – plain steel pipe pile (254Øx12.7mm)
- Pipe pile tip reinforcement (254Øx12.7mm)
- Pile set-up (254Ø pipe pile)
- Pile driving (254Ø pipe pile)
- Abutment and wingwall construction
- Streambed stabilization
- Superstructure design, supply, delivery and installation
- Bridgerail – supply and fabrication, delivery and installation
- Guardrail – supply and install
- Roadway work
- Heavy rock riprap (Class 1)
- Erosion control Barrier – straw roll
- Erosion control soil covering (Type C)

Each bidder, in submitting a Tender, acknowledges that he has examined the site and the surrounding area; and is familiar with all conditions and /or restrictions that could affect or limit his operations due to such things as environmental constraints, public traffic, and property of others.

Unless otherwise specified, the Contractor must supply all materials necessary to complete the Work .A complete job is called for, therefore any labour, material, equipment, tool or incidental item not specifically mentioned, but necessary for completeness will be considered incidental to the Work, and no separate or additional payment will be made.
