Clean Power Generation and Energy Storage for Electric Utility

Project Description: This request is for information only to assist the City of Tallahassee (City) in determining how best to fulfill the requirements described herein. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a formal solicitation or a promise to issue a solicitation in the future. This request for information does not commit the City to contract for or purchase any supply or service. Should the City determine to proceed with a solicitation based on the responses to this RFI, the solicitation to be issued may be either a formal Request for Proposal (RFP) or Invitation for Bid (IFB) to be handled in accordance with City purchasing policies and procedures.
The City seeks to learn about vendors and their capability to construct, provide, and/or sell clean, renewable energy to the City through a variety of means, technologies, locations, and quantities. For this RFI, vendors do not need to have a viable project for the City, e.g., secured land options for development. Clean, renewable energy includes solar, energy storage, wind, hydrogen, and other carbon-neutral or renewable resources.
