Description

The County will receive bids until 4:00pm on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at which time the bids will be opened. Bids received after that date and time will not be considered. Bids must be sealed in an envelope and the words ¿A sealed bid¿ must appear on the outside of the envelope. Faxed or e-mailed bids cannot be accepted. Bids will be awarded on May 11, 2026 at 5:30pm.
All Bidders shall comply with the provisions of the Systematic Alien Verification of Entitlements (SAVE) program and the federal eVerify program.
The County reserves the right to reject any and all bids not in conformity with these instructions, and the County reserves the right to cancel the bid opening or the anticipated purchase

Component Minimum Technical Requirement
Engine Diesel; Min 450 HP / 1,650 lb-ft Torque; Engine Brake included.
Transmission Allison 4500 RDS 6-speed automatic with PTO provision.
Front Axle 20,000 lbs capacity; Set-Back configuration for tighter turning.
Rear Tandem 46,000 lbs capacity; Driver-controlled locking differentials.
Rear Suspension 46,000 lbs capacity; Hendrickson Haulmaax EX or equivalent.
Dump Body 14-16 ft length; AR450 Steel (1/4" floor, 3/16" sides). And insulated.
Hydraulic Gate High-lift hydraulic tailgate with dual cylinders and air-latches.
Bed Vibrator 12V DC Electric Vibrator (e.g., Cougar DC-3200 or equal); Min 3,000 lbs force.
Vibrator Install Mounted on reinforced plate under body floor; in-cab momentary switch control.
Hoist Front-mount telescopic cylinder; outboard mounted for stability.
Controls All hoist, gate, and vibrator controls located in a center console tower.
