Civic Center Drone Dock Installation Project

The City of Lake Forest is soliciting bids for electrical and communications infrastructure improvements to support the installation of Skydio Dock for X10 drone equipment at Lake Forest City Hall. The work generally consists of providing new power and data pathways from the existing building infrastructure to the designated outdoor docking station and external antenna locations.

Work includes installation of conduit, wiring, dedicated 208V electrical circuits, Cat 6A communications cabling, underground pull boxes, excavation and backfill, sidewalk boring as required, and restoration of affected asphalt and landscape areas. Conduit systems are to be sized to accommodate specified future electrical and communications circuits. The Skydio drone, docking equipment, external radio equipment, and associated equipment commissioning, programming, and start-up will be furnished or performed separately.

The project is intended to provide the supporting power and network infrastructure necessary for installation and operation of the Skydio Dock system in accordance with the manufacturer’s installation requirements and the project documents.
