Description:

The work to be done, in general, consists of street 2” mill & fill overlay, asphalt rubber cape seals and slurry micro-surfacing, concrete work, delivering advance public notifications, implementing traffic controls, removing weeds from the roadway, removing and replacing traffic striping, markings, and other related work indicated and required by the plans, Standard Specifications, and these special provisions. Estimate for the project is Two Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($2,500,000). The allotted time to complete the project will be 60 working days (5-calendar day).

The successful bidder shall furnish a Payment Bond, a Performance Bond, and a Maintenance Bond.

Please be advised that the project is expected to be awarded at the City Council meeting on November 25, 2025, with construction anticipated to begin in Spring 2026, weather permitting.

Eligibility to bid on this project requires bid package to be electronically obtained from the City. Non-biddable plans and specifications shall be available to view at various Builders’ Exchanges throughout the Bay Area and on the City of Union City website at www.unioncity.org.

Qualifications:

The Contractor shall possess a Class A and/or C-12 California contractor’s license at the time this contract is awarded.
