City of Willacoochee 2020 & 2021 LMIG Resurfacing Improvements

Separate, sealed Bids will be received for furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary for the installation of the 2020 and 2021 Local Maintenance and Improvement Grant (LMIG), leveling and resurfacing improvements to Bay Street and Wilcox Street located in the City of Willacoochee, Georgia until 10:00 am (local time), Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at which time bids will be opened and read.

The meeting will be held at the City of Willacoochee City Hall and will be opened to the public. Proposals can be mailed to the attention of Patricia Hilton, City Clerk for the City of Willacoochee, Georgia 31650 or delivered to 33 Fleetwood Avenue, Willacoochee, Georgia 31650. Proposals received after the designated time will not be considered. City of Willacoochee may select a successful low bidder after evaluation of all bids.

The Scope of Work Includes:
Fiscal Year 2020 and 2021 Local Maintenance & Improvement Grant (LMIG)
Leveling and Resurfacing Improvements to Bay Street and Wilcox Street.

All proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in favor of the City of Willacoochee in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the lump sum bid for the complete work: such Bid Bond representing that the Bidder, if awarded a Contract, will promptly enter into a Contract and furnish Performance Bond and Payment Bonds as provided by the law and approved by the Attorney for the City of Willacoochee. Performance Bond shall be equal to 100 Percent (100%) of the contract amount and Payment Bond shall be equal to 100 percent (100%) of the Contract amount.

The Bid Bond shall be forfeited to City of Willacoochee, Georgia as liquidated damages if the Bidder fails to execute the Contract and provide Performance and Payment Bonds within (10) days after being notified that he has been awarded the Contract.

All work on the project must be completed within 90 consecutive calendar days.
