Notice to Contractors
Sealed BIDS for Highway 135 & 4th Street Sidewalk Improvements, will be received at: 213 College St, Pilot
Grove, MO 65276, Attn: City Clerk and Sidewalk TAP Project until 10:00 o’clock A.M. (Prevailing Local Time) on
the 21st day of November, 2025, and at that time will be publicly opened and read.
The proposed work includes: The construction of ADA compliant sidewalks and ramps on the east and west side
of Highway 135 and 4th Street. Additionally, driveways and intersecting side roads will be reconstructed as
necessary to ensure full compliance with ADA accessibility standards. The project will utilize MoDOT Right-of-
Way and City maintenance easements for construction of the sidewalk as well as temporary construction
easements for grading and tie-ins parallel to the proposed sidewalk.
All labor used in the construction of this public improvement shall be paid a wage no less than the prevailing
hourly rate of wages of work of a similar character in this locality as established by the Department of Labor and
Industrial Relations (Federal Wage Rate), or state wage rate, whichever is higher.
The City of Pilot Grove hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into
pursuant to this advertisement, business owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged
individuals will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated
against on the grounds of race, color, religion, creed, sex, age, ancestry, or national origin in consideration for an
award.
All bidders must be on MoDOT’s Qualified Contractor List per Section 102.2 from the current version of the
Missouri Standard Specifications for Highway Construction, including all revisions. The contractor questionnaire
must be on file 7 days prior to bid opening.
Contractors and sub-contractors who sign a contract to work on public works project provide a 10-Hour OSHA
construction safety program, or similar program approved by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, to
be completed by their on-site employees within (60) days of beginning work on the construction project.

CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be purchased by contacting American Document Solutions ONLY. Purchase
price is available upon request from American Document Solutions. Checks are to be made payable to “ADS”,
and mailing costs are the responsibility of the purchaser.
